Catch up purrs and such.. by TJ and The Dust
Sorry I haven't been around to much. Have only had time to read a few messages here and there. Real life has just gotten in the way of my cyberlife! Just wanted everyone to know that I still care and Dust and I are revving up the purrs when needed and doing happy dances and the like. We have...

Thanks Flippy by Jean H
Thanks Flippy for your Birthday wishes for Wilson, but can you tell me where you saw my letter? as I can't find any of the letters I wrote that day, and I wrote three or four, and only you answered, which is unusual in itself, not to get more than one answer I dont know if my computer is playing up...

Meg is home :-) by Kate
The vet called this morning to let us know that Meg was eating and drinking okay now, and they were happy for her to come home. So we collected her this morning, and after a celecration meal of tuna (for Meg, not us!) she's now having a doze in her favourite place. Fudge and Caramel are not...

The Great Time of Bugs by Karen
Well, you can tell winter is coming. Last night I had the glass door open and the screen door shut. Now, sometimes bugs get in and I am alerted by cats staring intently at the carpet that critters have entered. However, last night, I see Sugar chasing something THAT I CAN SEE FROM ACROSS...

Pictures of our gecko by badwilson
Ok, I put up a couple of pictures of our house gecko that lives under the roof tiles of our carport. I still don't know if he's still around because he doesn't generally come out every day, but I'm still looking! http://tinyurl.com/pu4d http://tinyurl.com/pu4o -- Britta ROT13...

Purrs for a parakeet by jmcquown
Since this group appears to be non-descriminatory in its purrs S I would like to ask for purrs for my parakeet, Taz (short for Tazmanian Devil). Taz is only 5 years old. She was fine yesterday and last night. Playing, chirping, etc. This morning when I uncovered her I noticed she was...

Slow boat with Taz... by jmcquown
She's eating a little; I'm still keeping her in the small cage and have the heat lamp on it again. (She made it through the night without the lamp.) I dissolved another tablet of ornacycline in her freshly changed water this morning. My other 'keet, Rachel, is screaming all the time. She's used...

Taz (the parakeet) is eating! by jmcquown
I was told, if she didn't eat in a couple of days to take her to an Avian vet. After seeing she was not drinking the treated water, I dosed her lightly using the dropper given to me by Sherry at PetCo. Ornacycline. She's now on the perch eating! This is a good sign! Still more purrs needed, but...

The escape artists by Dan and Nancy Mahoney
Tonight about 10:00 PM I went out in the back yard to enjoy the full moon, and to watch the kitties hunting bugs. A few minutes after I sat down I noticed something in my peripheral vision - Tabitha kitten walking the TOP of the (I thought) kitten proof fence. Great! I grabbed Tabitha and threw her...

Thanks for the purrs by TJ and The Dust
My friend wanted me to thank the group for your purrs! Paloma is still hanging in there. It appears to be kidney stones and a funky thyroid. Not sure exactly what the treatment is but I did visit with P-Lo the other night and she was still as sweet as ever. She was drinking and dining on...

Changing the Sheets by jmcquown
I know you are familiar with this. Persia thinks changing sheets is a great adventure! The minute I strip off the sheets she's up on the bare mattress, exploring like it's new territory. I got out the fresh sheets and snapped out the bottom one. Her eyes got huge. I said, "Scoot!" She wouldn't...

Narrow Escape by LOL
This afternoon, I was saved by my bad-*ss Mikey, who faced down a dangerous foe. This is how it went: I was rummaging in the freezer, hoping that inspiration would strike and something would indicate that it wanted to be eaten for supper. (As it happened, some chicken breasts volunteered.) While...

UTI? by jmcquown
In the last week, Persia peed outside of her litterbox. She actually did it in the same spot where she barfed up a hairball last week. I caught her in the act of peeing on that spot. I said NO! and she mewed at me like "I can't stop now, mom!" Then she ran and hid from me; she knew I was...

B & C, FluffySp and Ted - Party Time by Bev
OK Jeanne, Natasha and anyone interested. Here is an update on the terrible trio. Ted has been here fixing the leaking roof and updating my orchid irrigation. The kitties have been in an orgy of investigative wickedness. Ted's station wagon was sniffable heaven. The three climbed in...
