my ninja cat, Tao by
Norm
I mentioned in my introduction that Tao was a clumsy climber and
scavenger extraordinaire. He can and does open the countertop broiler
and cabinet doors. Lastnight he outdid himsel, I came out during the
night to find him on the cooktop, having pried the cover off a 10qt pot
which was full of...

Urgent purrs for Miss Lily Whiskers please... by
Helen Miles
Please could Miss Lily Whiskers have some serious purrs? Some asshole
shot her with an air pellet gun some time last week, and she is
currently at TED's having X-rays and possibly an operation to remove a
pellet.
She came in last Friday, very grumpy and when I stroked her, she
appeared very sore...

Touchstone Oct Clowder meeting, Part one by
Steve Touchstone
Hoomin note: I seem to have turned into a lurker lately. Just can't
seem to keep up with the group. Stil thinking of you all and sending
silent purrs, but not posting much as RL is keeping me busy. I kind of
enjoyed my last posting of a clowder meeting, so instead of just
posting an update on how...

Bobby's home! by
Mishi
My Bobby cat is finally home! He came back tonight, and for right now
he is residing in a very large dog crate in my kitchen. He will be in
a crate (I have a much larger one to put him in in the morning), until
he gets done with his antibiotic, approx 2 weeks. They will check him
over again, and...

Natasha Visits TED (Routine) by
Jeanne Hedge
Natasha visited her new TED last week. I picked this particular
practice because they specialize in geriatric pets.
Natasha lay limp on the exam table while TED gave her the minimum
number of shots allowed by law (rabies only) and did his exam, only
making growly noises when he moved to her...

Att. Bug Lovers (and Phobics) by
Kreisleriana
I found this cool site called www.whatsthatbug.com
People send in pics of "mystery" bugs, and the Bug Man identifies the
bug for them. Here is the cricket page:
http://www.whatsthatbug.com/crickets.html
You can see that there are a lot of different crickets, and you can
also see how different...

Betty's become a little Mazda :D by
Magic Mood Jeep©
Betty, it seems, never *walks* anywhere, she always trots, runs, or even
gallops, throughout the house.
Every time we see her, now, we've commented on her zoominess.
.... and it's become insert earworm warning here
zoom zoom zomm.....

Very nice indeed. It is very long, but if you have the
patience to watch all of it as a slideshow, you will
see some "calendar-quality" shots in there.

Ewwwwww! by
jmcquown
I mean, gross! I absolutely hate and despise palmetto bugs (oversized
cockroaches that can fly). This is the time of year when they really start
trying to come inside because the temps are dropping. Not only did I find
one in my bathtub earlier today but I just found one floating in...

I need to vacuum.... by

..... But Snoopy looks so content lying in the middle of the floor with her
paws in the praying mantis position, I haven't got the heart to upset her.

Thank you, Tommy!! by
Pat
Tommy loves me so much. He heard me complaining about how some of the cats
don't bury their poop properly, so he became the one-cat poop police force
lately, burying other cats' poops so I don't have to do it. How sweet is
that?

Several times I've posted here at RPCA about the adventures of Mooch,
our little tuxie resident stray who shows up regularly on our veranda
for meals (see the most recent thread, "Mooch gets friendly". Someone
nicknamed "Treeline has asked several questions about him, and then
today "Lesley" in the...

Black cat blackout now in effect by
robert casey
With Halloween coming up, best not to adopt out any black cats until
November. Some people may want a black cat as a Halloween party prop
and dump the cat later.
