Triple vaccine side effects? by
Alex Panda
Our 3 year old has had his triple vaccination this morning for leukaemia,
entiritis and flu - and after being fine on returning home is now lethargic,
off his food and showing signs of annoyance when we stroke him, which is
very unlike him as he has a sweet nature.
Is this common or should we be...

My cat is bonkers!!! All my husband and I have ever done was try to
love him and give him tons of attention. I don't work, so I am at
home and play with him all day. His litter box is always clean... he
always has fresh food and water... and we give him kitty snacks all the

After 8 years, my feral is using the Skyway! by
John Doe[_2_]
The hard-core feral cat has been here for eight years. It has a loft in
another room that's connected to their Skyway. Stays there most of the
time. But when it exits to eat and use the box, it always takes the
shortest route to the floor. But over the last several weeks or so, perhaps
having...

Are Male Cats More Affectionate? by
[email protected]
I have always owned female cats. I have just recently adopted an older
(12 yrs.) cat and he is absolutely the most affectionate cat I have
ever known in my life. I hate to say it, but I feel like I've been
missing out all these years having only female cats.

Rubber mat to attach to 2x4s? by
John Doe[_2_]
I'm convinced that there is a better material than carpet for attaching
to 2x4s for climbing. For example, I have a ribbed rubber doormat that
looks close if it were cut lengthwise and hot melt glued to the 2x4.
Something longer would be better. Some ribbed rubber mat, maybe
something used for...

My Cat Has No Will To Eat or Drink and Is Very Weak by
Ian
Around Christmas my 8 year old persian-tabby cat Amy developed a limp in her
rear right leg, we are not sure what caused it but we believe it was from
trying to jump on top of a high counter. Along with the limp she developed
a certain listlessness. We took her to a vet and he believed it was...

Cats in the bathroom.. by
RobZip
Just tossing this out for observation and comment.
I have 2 cats in my household, a 4 year old spayed female and a 9 month old
female due for neutering soon. Both are quite contented, well adjusted to
each other and the household in general. Both have a normal interest in
dominating the attention...

Catfoods by
Kelly Greene
Which dry cat foods have the highest content of meat? I looked at many bags
at PetsMart this week and the second ingredient is always corn or some other
grain. Cats are not grainavores. I did pick up a bag of Purina. She gets a
meaty canned food in the evening but I don't like leaving canned...

Lab results in Hyperthyroidism? by
Schroedinger's Cat
Hi all, probably looking for people to tell me what I'm already going
to do! Anyway, I'm quoting here from Max's House (www.maxshouse.com -
thanks Phil P.!): "The most common clinical signs of hyperthyroidism
in cats are weight loss, ravenous appetite, vomiting, excessive
drinking and urinating,...

HELP!!! My 2 year old is ruining an expensive leather couch by
Coyote Jack
She pees on it constantly. I have cleaned the leather, used a citrus
based cleaner to drive the cats away (We have a 3 cat household) and
done various other things including pherenomes...no good!
Scooter did not do this before we bought the couch. She will not pee
any where else...aka other...

Declawing A Cat by
Cat Protector
I know this is a topic that keeps popping up over and over again but it just
goes to you that even during the holidays people still think about declawing
their cats. Tonight at Thanksgiving dinner I was shocked to learn that a
couple of guests (they are a married couple) who I had known for...

Cats and soy products by
[email protected]
Cat health experts:
Does anyone know if soy is good/bad/harmless for cats? This would
include edamame, tofu, and maybe soy milk. Not soy sauce, though. And
I'm not referring to soy mixed into cat food for bulk.
I'm asking this question for a friend, so I don't know all the details.
But she...

"how do I get away?" by
kelly andgary
I've had a cat for some four years now. Recently I introduced into our
home a 6 month old kitten.
As a given....he is full of energy and likes to play. The older feline
is game a lot of the time but there are times she is clearly annoyed and
becomes angry. Wanting no part of his youthful...

Safe bug spray? by
Rhino[_3_]
I've got a problem in my new apartment (which is in an old building)
with respect to bugs and am looking for some way of eliminating them
that won't harm my two senior cats.
I don't know much about bugs and don't know what these particular
critters are. They are very small and never seem to get...
