For Those Who Want To Peacefully Discuss Cats by
Cat Protector
I am not trying to cause a flame war here but I thought I would post these
links for those who love cats but are tired of the personal wars now
invading this newsgroup. Here are a couple of forums where you can discuss
cats without all the flame wars
Cat Galaxy Forum- You can discuss cats there...

Cat addicted to TV - HELP by
[email protected]
I unleashed a monster a few weeks ago when I introduced my little cat
(3 years old) to the Video Catnip I've had for years. (It's a VHS tape
of birds and squirrels - other cats have enjoyed it a few times, but
quickly figured out it's just a goof on them and quit watching)
She's deaf, so at least...

Sheesh! [OT] by
CatNipped
I've been reading newsgroups (well, at least the cats newsgroups) for ages
and have never had to use my kill file before now. In just the last week,
however, for this group, I've had to use it several times every day. Who
the heck has the time to keep changing emails/headers just to post...

Canned food by
KenK
Any recommendations for canned cat food? I've fed her Fancy Feast for many
years but lately she's been getting diarrhea every week or two. She's
allergic to shellfish and fish and perhaps poultry disagrees with her as
well. Not much left. Suggestions? I noted someone mentioned diarrhea and a...

Roundworm by

I would wait for the meds recommended by the vet. I would not worm with over

laser declaw question on alt med vet by
Alison
Hiya ,
If any one has a minute, can you reply to the laser declaw question
on alt med vet -:((
.. The question is -
*Does anyone know about what it costs for a laser declaw surgery? My
vet (Which does not do it) said she was not sure how much it was but
heard that it was "quite expensive". I...

Cat just diagnosed with Feline Leukemia - info/resources requested by
Dave
We took our 11/2 year-old male, sweetheart of a cat in to the vet because
he was lethargic, and the vet diagnosed auto-immune anemia. Further testing
showed that he had an 11% red blood cell volume (normal is 35-50%) and is
positive for Feline Leukemia.
Oh boy...
We've decided to give him the...

Bubba vs The Furminator - Round 1 by
Claude V. Lucas

I can't say either of us particularly enjoyed the experience
but it certainly was worth doing.
Hopefully round 2 will be a bit less of a melodrama.

Giant thanks to Megan for spending her time on the phone tonight helping my
wife and I out with our cats' diet. I need to buy lots of Wellness. The
cheapest I've been able to find it is actually locally for $20.99/case of 24
5.5oz cans ($0.87/can). I almost ALWAYS find products cheaper on...

Cat dreams by
ceb
Greetings,
Last night when she was sitting on my lap, sleeping, Rosalie did that
twitchy thing cats do when they are (apparently) dreaming -- I have always
woken my cats up when they did this, on the chance that it was a bad dream
that had them so agitated (and it's not like they have any trouble...

Weasel by
[email protected]
Weasel is leaving us. Weasel is a gray tabby, age 19. He has been in
decline for months, losing weight and growing progressively weaker.
Nothing specific, just the ravages of time. He stopped eating days ago
and now can't stand. If he is still with us in the morning, it will be
time for a last ride...

toys: hanging something from the ceiling? by
John Doe
Looking for experiences.
Have you ever hung anything from the ceiling for your cat to play with?
How did it go? Is it still available? How is it going?
Have you ever hung anything from the ceiling substantial enough so that
your cat could grab on to the thing and lift itself up from underneath?

Home euthanasia by
Nightstar
I don't even want to think about this but know I must prepare for the
inevitable with my beloved cat, Pop.
I think I can find a vet to do home euthanasia but wanted to know what
happens with the body? Does the vet take it?
I know it is probably the most difficult and sad decision one has to
make...
