Lonely cat...too soon for a new one? by
The Other Mike
About 3 years ago my wife and I moved in together...I had 2 cats and
she had 1. Since it was a new house, new territory, I think this
helped in getting them together. After a short while they were all
sleeping together and playing. We lost one of mine in July and now we
just lost my other one...

Clyde update by
[email protected]
Clyde has been doing pretty well now he started drinking water on his
own. He still likes the wet food and wont eat the dry so I mix the wet
food with the dry food. He has biting a lot now and I know it's because
of me playing with him using my hands. What's the best way to stop him
from biting? He...

Laxatone by
[email protected]
When I went to the vet for Clyde the vet gave us anitibiotics and also
some Tuna flavored Laxatone. He seems to like the Laxatone A LOT but
maybe a little too much. Whenever I go to the kitchen and stand by the
sink he comes up to me and starts meowing like crazy because that's
where the Laxatone...

TK's HCM checkup at Tufts...Phil P by
Roby
My Maine Coon mix developed a loud murmur at age 6 in 2000. Diltiazem was
the miracle he needed. He's been on it ever since (4mg qd), with annual
exams and echoes by a board-certified vet (specialty is oncology, actually).
This was the second specialist we visited when the problem first...

Antacids like Pepcid for cats by
John Graeme
My vet recommended that I try giving one-quarter of a stomach acid
controller like Pepcid to control her reaction to other medicines.
Does anyone know if all medications in this class (e.g., ranitidine,
cimitidine) are suitable for cats, or just Pepcid?

Strange bump on kitten - update by
Lynne
Levi saw the vet this morning for another booster. The bump is definitely
from his last injection--he said that can persist for up to a month. It's
smaller now, too.
