Surgery by
I have a 9 year old cat and it underwent surgery on Monday to have a tumor
removed from its left flank. It lies down doing nothing, only drinking
water. This evening it will be 72 hours of the operation. I'm waiting for
the results of the biopsis. The Vet said that it was a huge tumor. I'...

Mystery of the Fuzzy Cat Toy by
[email protected]
My 4-year old male cat has a mysterious habit. Every once in a while
he'll start meowing incessantly as he carries this long furry cat toy
throughout the house. The cat toy is one of those whip kind of toys,
resembling a fuzzy 3' piece of material attached to a stick like a
fishing pole. He'll...

Recommendations on cordless clippers. by
Jacques E. Bouchard
I'm looking for recommendations on a good cordless clipper to cut the
hair of a (very impatient) cat.
He has very thick fur and must be trimmed once or twice a year
(especially for the summer months), but he's fidgety and won't stand still
for two minutes without throwing a tantrum. For that...

Worming pill only administered by vet? by
T. Early
Our vet, after already diagnosing the issue during an office visit,
has told us that it is "policy" that worming pills only be given by
their staff in-house ($20 per pill per cat).
We have two cats, both of which are, to say the least, not happy about
being carted off to the vet and/or riding in...

cat is constantly stressed by
Richard Walker
Our cat is being bullied by another cat on our street.
It is now reluctant to go outside and has recently begun chewing its feet
causing them to bleed.
Does anyone have any advise on how to deal with a problem like this?
Regards
Richard

Cat Forever Snobby by
Larry R Harrison Jr
We have 3 cats, 2 of them are about the same age & are from the same litter.
One of them is just an out & out snob, any time either my wife or myself
EVER attempt to hold her, no matter how gently & slowly we approach, she
inevitably runs away refusing to be allowed to be touched & when we do...

Cats and Raccoons by
Kiran
My cat is an indoors/outdoors cat. Ever since winters ended, she has
insisted on sleeping in the porch. She also prefers not to use the
litter-box and like to go outdoors. She has never strayed beyond our
lawn: one neighbor has a loud dog, the other one loud workmen and
machinery 8 hours a day; and...

Depression from my cats death by
[email protected]
I just lost my Cat, she was a siamese but looked more tonkanese to me,
named Kiki. My mom bought her for me when I had just finished the
first grade, so I was around 6 years old. I am now about to turn 28
and she has been with me the entire time, amazing when I reflect on
it, she was around 21. She...

Does anybody know if Premier Pet Insurance is still around?
I want to get insurance for my 4 cats and it appears that this is a

Question for those that have had pets pass... by
-L.
What did you do with the body or ashes? The reason I'm asking is I
have a dog that's terminally ill and I want to prepare ahead of time so
that I have a plan. She's still hanging on (and doing ok), but the vet
expected her to pass months ago. I'm thinking about putting her in
our back yard,...

Triple Antibiotic ointment by
Cat Daddy
I took house cat to the vet for a scratch on her neck that
got infected. They gave her a shot of antibiotic. She's
getting better but I wonder if I put some Triple antibiotic
ointment on her neck and she licked it off, if it would
hurt her? Any thoughts? When I clean her neck with hydrogen
peroxide...

How many shots do my cats need? Is the Vet ripping me off? Help!!! by
B Kat
Hi, four months ago someone tossed some kittens into my yard. Although I
already have two cats, I decided to keep these two kittens, as there is
no way I could ever drop them off at the pound.
At seven months of age I took them to have them spayed and neutered. The
doctor told me they must have...

Big Bully by

My cat is indoor/outdoor. As I work overnight and can be gone for 18
hours at a time he sleeps out in the shed which I have set up as a
little house for him and he can go in and out through an opening I have
made for him. A couple of times I have heard him what I can only
describe as crying. This...

I just got a new rescue kitten today. She has a yuck brown, shiny, hard,
oval - thing - on her shoulder. It's about the size of a small pea but
elongated. An engorged tick maybe??????????
If it's a tick should I try to remove it or should I just treat it with
Frontline and hope it dies and falls...

Is Halloween dangerous for strays? by
Ajanta
While stary cats face certain dangers all the time, I am wondering if
Halloween atmosphere increses those risks?
I ask because I feed a stray cat that show up late afternoon and leaves
in 1-2 hours. If Halloween evening would increase any risk to her, I
could try to lure her into staying longer....
