knees done. by wafflycat[_3_]
Hopefully. Torn cartilage found & cut away. Arthritis temporarily appeased by inner surfaces of knees cleaned up. Hopefully. Knees swathed in bulky bandages. A few days of resting and then I'll be beginning the road to fitness (I truly hope so). Waffles & Francis have investigated me thoroughly...

I won! I think - revisited by Ted Davis[_2_]
You may recall that I child-proffed my bathroom cabinets to keep CJ from getting through them into the closet where I store the spare catfood bags. Well, he seems to have give up even trying to get in the bathroom cabinets .... now he has found he can get into some of the upper kitchen cabinets....

A moment of terror...but everything is alright by MaryL
I had a truly frightening moment this morning. I heard Holy and Duffy scrambling around on the floor and assumed they were playing. It did not surprise me to see bits of fur beside the bed because that is common when they roll around together. Then I saw a *huge* ball of grey fur (about 4...

My neighbors by CatNipped[_4_]
For the first time in I don't know how long - at least 8 months - I attempted a walk around my block (sans mechanical aids haHA!). It was really nice! The temperature was 102F, still as death and not a single breeze blowing, but it was a tiny bit cloudy and that hid the sun part of the time,...

Kitty is purring by Christina Websell
She's back from causing an earthquake in California. I've boiled up a chicken carcase in my pressure cooker, for soup. It's a bit of trouble, I suppose, as I then have to get all the bones and skin out and pick the meat off. I put the meat back in to the stock, added bay leaf, carrots, onions...

Tails by Marina
Cat tails can be so fascinating. Not least to the cats themselves. Like most Russian Blues, Miranda has a very long tail. Lately, she has been chasing that pesky grey snake that keeps following her around. She sits in the shower stall (her favourite place - don't ask) and suddenly notices that...

New picture of Samwise by Ann
Samwise like to lay on soft things. He will curl up on my extra blanket on the bed. He has out grown the round soft side cat bed we have but, didn't sleep much in the wicker bed. I picked up a fliece baby blanket for the basket and he loves it. I've added a picture of him in the bed to his photo...

UPDATE on job interview by Hans Schrøder
Thank you, all, for sending the purrs you did. I had a great day yesterday, the interview went fine, but... I sort of knew what was coming, my competence and their demands didn't match. I know that if this had been a larger company, I would have got the job, but due to the current senior programmer...

Another lame joke by jmcquown
Sent by a friend of mine. A blonde lady motorist was two hours from San Diego, -- when she was flagged down by a man whose truck had broken down. The man walked up to the car and asked, "Are you going to San Diego?" "Sure," answered the blonde, "do you need a lift?" "Not for me. I'll be spending...
