Introducing a 3rd Cat - I think we're getting there.. by
Marcie
Hi All,
Just to give an update on how Vanessa (my adopted stray cat) is doing.
It's now been 9 or so days since her spay operation, and I am letting
her wander around the house freely to explore while I am around. It's
time, I think.
Yesterday was the first time I let her out since she...

Kitty panting and breathing hard after running by
Camilla Cracchiolo
When my cat and I play "high speed chase" (where I run a toy on a
string up and down the hall and she chases it), she seems to tire
quickly. She pants when she lays down. I've never heard wheezing
although once I could hear her breathing hard.
She's a very active cat, seems fine otherwise. ...

Walking the cat and shots by
Camilla Cracchiolo
This cat I have is so weird. Anyway, my husband and I think she could
adapt well to going for walks outside, so we're going to get her a
harness & leash and try it out.
Does she need more vaccines? My vet doesn't like to give too many
vaccines because of the risks of sarcoma and autoimmune...

I captured the Tomcat by
John Ross Mc Master
There is a tomcat who was fighting my Cinder every time I let her into
our backyard. The group consensus was to trap the tomcat and have him
neutered.
Here's the story to date. Read the diary.

gentler way to put a cat down? by
Francesca
Hi,
I'm in a horrible situation - my old boy, who will be 16 in August, is
showing signs of deterioration. He's got kidney issues and the vet's
given us options that range from thousands of dollars in potential
treatments, to switching to Science Diet k/d - we've done the latter.
I'm a full time...

Cats eating grass by
Camilla Cracchiolo
My cat loves to eat grass! Is there a limit to how much I should let
her have? The neighborhood kids get a big kick out of feeding her
grass from our lawn through a grille-covered window.

Ping Candace Re Abbey by
CatNipped
Candace, I'm sorry if you've already posted about this, but my life has been
really hectic lately and I haven't read any updates about Abbey.
How is she doing? What's the prognosis look like now? Has she had her
ultrasound/echocardiogram?

Hugs,

Feeding cats Sushi? by
Brian Link
I've been reading the benefits of feeding cats real meat (which makes
sense, since they're not as omnivorous as dogs). It occured to me that
perhaps a nice treat for our cats would be a little chunk of salmon or
tuna bought at our local Sushi bar.
Are there any considerations I should use in...

Interstitial Cystitis: Anti-depressants? by
Brian Link
Our vet told us about interstitial cystitis being aggravated by
stress. Since Louis continues to be freaked out and occasionally
tagging a door, I'm considering trying the antidepressant he
suggested.
Anyone have experience going down this route?
Thanks.

Good God - Louis' peeing is out of control by
Brian Link
Had to keep the basement door closed while we fixed the plumbing
downstairs - that's where the litterboxes are. We brought one
upstairs.
Fixed the plumbing, basement is open, Louis is acting totally psycho.
This just appeared out of nowhere, and its first indication was a
couple weeks ago.
He is...

stray kitty named Kady for "little warrior" update by
laurie w
The kitty is doing very well, other than the peeing and pooping in the
litter box part.
She is faithfully eating and drinking, and pottying.... just not in the
litter box.
She got a better bath this morning, and is now more conscientious about
her grooming.
