OT take a little time to read by
NMR
Great Story----AUTHOR UNKNOWN
Twenty years ago, I drove a cab for a living.
One morning when I arrived for a fare at 2:30 a.m., the building was
dark
except for a single light in a ground floor window.

Claw clipping question by
Chakolate
It's just me and the two cats, and they have shown a marked reluctance to
hold each other down while I trim claws. So how does one person manage a
claw clip on a reluctant cat?
I have in the past tried to wrap one in a towel (prewarmed for his
comfort) but I can only manage maybe two claws that...

Friendliest Cat in the World by
Bridget
Mattie has got to be the friendliest cat in the world. As I mentioned
in another post, I am fostering a cat. The day my friend brought the
cat over for me to take care of, Tony and The Stripey Thing were hissing
at the newcomer and each other and anything that moved. Mattie walked
right into the...

Annoyed with a friend (TW-ish) by
[email protected]
This post contains some parts that are sad to read, but mostly this
is about an ongoing issue (ie, disagreement) I have with a friend and
her irresponsibility with her dog.
This friend of mine has had her dog for about 7 years. He's a wonderful
dog and I'm pretty attached to him. My issue is with...

Ingrates! by
CatNipped
OK, I feed them, I groom them, I pet them, I play with them, I even scoop
their poop! You'd think they could at least politely sit and listen to me
sing instead of starting a mad stampede for the door as I hit my first note
(OK, come close to hitting my first note - oh all right, completely...

kitten nursing his brother by
QuiltsWithCatFur
Well, he's 4 months old and nursing on his brother's fur and his spayed
mother's tummy fur where her nipls are.
Should I worry, separate them or will he grow out of it? Will this behavior
cause psychological illness in the poor host cat? The kitty/leech is not
stopped or dissuaded by either the...

Tessie update by
jaggath
Yesterday I left the craftroom door open during the afternoon so that
Tessie and the girls could interact and get to know each other
better... Tessie is a very slow learner about some things! Silver
cornered her three times because she (Tessie) didn't back off when she
was hissed at!
Silver...

Lily update..... by
Helen Miles
Madam is home and in one piece - things went very well. There's a long
story behind the spay including some panic phone calls from the vet
(well this *IS* Lily we're talking about) so more tomorrow!
Madam is fine, and very cudly. :o)
Thanks for all the good thought and purrs.

Reply to Pam S's challenge by
Julie Cook
In December Pam challenged us to write a story - any story that included a
cat. At about that same time I was approaching the first anniversary of
Sam's near fatal asthma attack and I wanted to write his story. I've begun
that story and since it will be long I'll break it up into sections. ...

Moving progress by
Pat
Suddenly I am under enormous pressure to get moved....
I had planned on finishing by March 8th, which is when Gloria returns
from her trip, because as of a few days ago she hadn't found someone
to be here to watch over a mare who might foal early, she's due on the
17th she's already had a milk bag...

Hairball question by
Christina Websell
I hope you all won't think this sounds stupid but as hairballs seem to be on
the agenda right now, I would like to ask this:
I have only ever had one hairball horked up from my cats, Kitty left me one
on the rug about a year ago. I didn't even know what it was, and had to ask
here! I imagined...

More than one anecdote (long) by
Susan M
Hi all:
It's been ages since I've posted. We've been sick with strep three times
(me), croup (Sam), two flus (Fred and I), and a pneumonia (Jane). I can't
wait until we're all well and can actually leave the house! Also, some very
intense things for my daughter that required immediate...

Little-Known Chocolate Tidbits...
If you get melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too
slowly.
Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all
count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.
Problem: How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in...

Cats and bleach? by
P C
Mew has a thing about bleach that scares me. We use a bleach cleaner to
clean up after spills, furballs, projectile vomit on the floor etc.
After the spot has been wiped up and the floor glitters with just a bit
of moisture from the bleach remnants, Mew will come and roll in the
spot, when moved he...
