Could I have a few spare purrs? by
[email protected]
This might be gross and TMI for some, so you are warned grin.
I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on Wednesday. I am a nervous wreck.
I hate anything medical, and this looks to be a particularly
nerve-wracking ordeal. Things can go wrong, and that always scares
me, too. So if anyone is inclined...

Father's Day MomDad by
Enfilade
In honour of the upcoming Father's Day, Kumani and Tyche have written
the following letter to my partner:
Dear MomDad:
Happy Father's Day!
We weren't sure about this Father's Day thing since you are also our
biological mother, but we had to give Mom something for Mother's Day,
so you had to wait.

We could use some purrs by
badwilson
As most of you know, Dennis and I are trying to move to Australia
permanently. We have applied for a resident visa and have been
waiting for what seems like a loooong time (since end of Feb) during
which they have been conducting "internal checks".
In April I emailed our migration agent in Perth...

UPDATE2: Jean Hobbs by
Yowie
Jean is a bit weak, a bit sore, and quite tired, but in really good spirits
and was still making sure I was OK without any thought to perhaps I was
concerned about her! She's out of ICU and back in a normal ward now.
I didn't want to hold her up on the phone, because I'm guessing she doesn't
have...

Karen
Take Panic mouse and arrange by one flattened out sheet from the Racing Form
(or newspaper, but the Racing Form is a little smaller) so that the ribbons
from arm bruuush paper at times. Mucho fun for kitties. Seems to be
reeeallly attractive to hear/see the brushing of ribbons on paper.

Another difference between cats & D*gs to share. by
KittyLady
Hello all,
A friend of mine emailed this to me last night and I want to share it
with all of you.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CAT AND A D*G
One day, a cat and a dog were talking about their lives.

mean ol' fox by
Steve Touchstone
Last night as I was making a pizza delivery, I happened upon a fox
intent on having someone's cat for dinner. When I stopped the truck
and scared the fox away the people came out to see what I was doing.
They said knew there was a family of fox nearby, but didn't realise
they'd go after the cat,...

OT Shake, Rattle and Roll by
Kreisleriana
It seems like there's been an awful lot of seismic activity on the
west coast of the continent this week-- all of it. There was:
- a 7.9 quake in Chile yesterday;
- a 4.1 near Quito in Ecuador;
- a 5.6 along the San Jacinto fault near San DIego;
- And a 6.9 off the coast of Alaska earlier...

Purr request - Update by
Shirley
Thanks to all who sent purrs etc.
My ankle is healing well and it doesn't hurt to stand/walk now, it has
gone through some interesting colour changes over the last few days.
The eye op went without a hitch and nurse Smudge is making sure the
morning and night-time medications (eye drops) are done...

Lab results OT by
Christina Websell
Well, I thought it was enough to wait for nearly a month to know whether the
tumour I had removed on 16 May was malignant or not, so I rang the secretary
of the surgeon who did the op.
She asked me if I had a date for a follow up appointment. I haven't. It
should have been fixed when I was...

I am totally forgiven... by
Pat
... by Baby Eyes, who was terribly PO'd and had completely withdrawn from
me upon baby Bea's arrival. She is back to her usual ways: Laying on my desk
in front of the PC monitor when I am there, rolling around and asking for
her belly to be rubbed, occasionally reaching paws out to touch my hand...

Vet Tech Journals: I'm such a sucker by
Mischief
Yes, I'm such a sucker.
She's a small gray and white DLH, and she's been hanging around the
apartment building, mainly in the garage. My roomie and I have seen
her but she always ran away whenever I got closer to get a better look.
Well...........
She was on the wall outside my apartment...

UPDATE on Pearl by
Karen
Well, she survived the vet visit. Boy, for being my most confident cat, vet
trips are certainly not her forte. Everything seems fine, and she appears to
have gotten over her dish fear. I guess something just must have scared her
while she was eating. Very wierd. The vet was the young one. She is, I...

out, damn cat! by
Monique Y. Mudama
Having just gotten back from a trip, I have a big suitcase filled to
the brim with clothes. It's sitting in the bedroom, unzipped but
closed.
Open it to put away some stuff, and what do I find? Oscar nestled
comfortably in my clothes. I take it she's not claustrophobic.
Damn cat!
DH tells me...

Still looking on the job front by
Dan M
It's been almost two weeks since I last spoke with the folks in Irvine,
but as of this morning they tell me I'm STILL in the running for the
job. I've also applied for a couple of telecommute jobs, and would
really like to see one of those materialize.
Meanwhile, next week I've got a consulting...
