Tiger had diarrhea by ---MIKE---
Tiger has had very soft stools for several days now. I think the problem has been corrected by adding acidolphulos powder to his canned food. I don't know what caused it. Amber has been fine. Tiger is an inside cat and there are no plants that he can get to. There have been no changes in food....

Tiger had a rough day by ---MIKE---
Tiger (4 1/2 year old Maine Coon (?)) had accumulated too much hair etc (!) around his butt so he had to go to the vet for a trim. He did not cooperate and got more and more violent, finally getting away from us and hiding under a cabinet. The only way the vet could get him out was to put a fish...

Tiger gets the full treatment tomorrow by ---MIKE---
I have to deliver Tiger to the vet at 8AM tomorrow. He will get mats groomed out, belly combed, butt shaved, teeth cleaned, rabies shot (Purevax), and FVRCP shot. After all that, he will probably be mad at me for a few days (and I will be over $200 poorer). ---MIKE---

Tiger Conjunctivitis: Are cats allergic to humans? by Brian Link
In what has arisen as a supreme irony, it turns out that Tiger may be allergic to my son's visiting girlfriend, who in turn is allergic to Louis. The vet asked what had changed in Tiger's environment before the outbreak of conjunctivitis. All I could offer at the time is that the weather had...

Tiger = Houdini by Brian Link
I was walking Tiger around the neighborhood a couple nights ago. He loves this - and until a year or so ago we couldn't find a leash he would endure. He would spit and fight and finally hide any time we tried to get a collar on him. So I found a simple string harness, and he has no problem with...

Tiger - bad news by Elizabeth Blake
Back in December I took Tiger to the vet because she was urinating on everything a lot. She's had a problem with that pretty much most of her life, but it got out of control. Her blood work in December showed that she was just starting to have problems with her kidneys. One of her numbers were...

tick? by Wendy
I just got a new rescue kitten today. She has a yuck brown, shiny, hard, oval - thing - on her shoulder. It's about the size of a small pea but elongated. An engorged tick maybe?????????? If it's a tick should I try to remove it or should I just treat it with Frontline and hope it dies and falls...

Tick question by Wendy
We trapped a few kittens yesterday in a feral colony. I was checking them over today and noticed that one has an engorged tick on the back of it's neck. If I apply frontline will that kill an already attached tick safely or do I need to remove the tick? W

Thyroid vs. urine concentration by Kai Seymour
First check up in years, and the 16 year old cat allegedly has a hyperactive thyroid. I know this can cause weight loss but can it also lead to these other symptoms: 1) Impacted anal glands. 2) Kidney problems (i.e. dilute urine)? And why is dilute urine worse than concentrated urine? 3) ...

Thyroid Treatment and Beta Blockers by cybercat
Some of you might recall that the vet said Boo could come off of the beta blockers she is on for an irregular heartbeat once her thyroid levels are tested again and have proved to remain level over time. Apparently the irregular heartbeat is reversable once the thyroid has been corrected and stayed...

Thyroid surgery by Mary
Buddha's checkup today revealed that she is indeed hyperthyroid. The doctor showed me how enlarged her thyroid is now. I'm kicking myself because another vet saw this a year ago, but because her T3 levels were only high-normal I did nothing. (Either I misunderstood what this doctor's partner said...

Thyroid Problems/Tapozole by [email protected]
My 15 year old male tabby has been taking 10 mg Tapozole a day for about 14 months for his thryoid. Over the past few weeks he has begun to lose weight again and eating little. Today the vet told me to increase the Tapozole dose to 15 mg a day. He said the one problem with Tapozole is the dose...

Thug died today by calvin
A stray cat that I adopted five years ago died sometime before first light this morning. He got sick suddenly. I first noticed him not eating Friday, and during the weekend he became less and less active, just wanting to lie in one place for hours. I was going to call the vet this morning,...

Throwing up and low WBC by Rhonda
We have heard tonight that the kitten we found a home for last year, Ringo, is sick. He suddenly started throwing up quite a bit. He is lethargic. The vet took a blood test and everything appears fairly normal except for a low white blood cell count. Ringo is inside-only and lives with another...
