fuzzy musings of the affectionate type by
Julie Snowshoe
Well, I'm reading the newsgroup for the first time in weeks Real life
has basically limited my newsgroup activities to scanning the threads
and doing what I can offline to offer condolences. I know this a really
crappy was to treat my friends who really need to have proof that we
care. I promise I...

Harvey Sulking by
Lots42 The Library Avenger
Harvey has been sulking and hiding ever since we got the guinea pigs. Oh, he's
up and about. He still yells for his food and uses the litter. It's just that
we've done the Worst Thing Ever by getting the fuzzies.

Advice for Smoggleberry on adopting a miniature hoomin by
Tanada
It has been a long time since we've had a miniature hoomin in our house,
and even longer since we've had one of our own to raise. All our bare
kittens are pretty grown up now. So, are there any of you kitties that
want to help give Smoggleberry advice on adopting and training a
miniature...

R.I.P Happy Dog by
Sherry
I just wanted to post that we lost our dachshund Happy this morning. He spotted
another dog, went nuts and jerked off the leash. He ran right in front of a
car.
I am never getting another pet, ever.

Omni - RB by
Brenda
My mom called last night with the sad news that Omni crossed the bridge
yesterday. Poor little baby had been having trouble walking and eating for
some time now. Yesterday morning she began struggling to breathe - my mom
took her to the vet for what turned out to be the last time.

OT, but I love it by

The BBC has an online article about the farm in Alaska which injects dye into
chicken eggs so that when the eggs hatch, the chicks come out in various
colours, such as green, pink, blue and the like. The article is at

much younger brain by

Persephone, as I have mentioned once or twice, is a pebble short of a
beach.
This morning she was playing "bed mouse" with Dave's toes when she
mis-judged the distance between herself and the bed and bumped her
head. This happens often enough that we are not concerned (there
seems to be nothing...

Well, I got Cinders a new cat toy today. A convenience store near my
house was selling wooden snakes, about two feet long. They are made
up of many small sections hinged together by string, so that they
wiggle in realistic-looking S curves (they bend...

One lap; two cats by
CajunPrincess
Kona's relationship with his Mommie pretty much stabilized shortly
after I adopted he and Sebastian last year. Kona began occupying my
lap immediately after he began living in his new home and he likes
being in the same room with Mommie even when he's not in my lap.
Sebastian's relationship with...

Easter Means . . . by

Little foil-wrapped chocolate eggs skittering around the floor, flying
past your head; confiscating them so he doesn't eat them; eating the
chocolate myself, but finding the little foil wrappers all over the
house. ;)

Cats in History by
Cheryl Perkins
Some of the speculation about the treatment of cats is a bit unpleasant,
but the general idea is that there is now proof cats have been living with
humans even before they moved in with the Egyptians.

Monomania by

For some strange reason, Frank has suddenly decided that the fridge contains
something delicious, something a million times better than the inferior slop
that I served him for breakfast (Nutro Choice senior cat). I don't know what
brought this on. He spent several hours trying to scratch his way...

A little concerned about Persia by

I called the vet and asked for him to call me back but the evening came/went

Some of you read about my great Dallas adventure and the fact that Persia
came down with another UTI while I was gone. She's doing okay with that but

Onyx: A Mouse a Day by

SSPPPRRRRROOOOOIIIINNNGG!
The large black mouse sails across the room to rest on the ground. Still
for a few moments, it suddenly stirs. After a momentary wobble,
stillness again.
Laying as flat as a cat can, all that can be seen are two huge gold eyes
on the face whose chin presses against the...

Harvey goes for the...um, casual walk by
Lots42 The Library Avenger
Harvey slipped out again. Laughint manically, he raced across the grass...to a
bush two feet away. Where he proceeded to crouch in the nice grass-free
dirt underneath and nibble on...a piece of grass.
I'll never figure him out
He hates grass.
