Our 12 year old male DSH Bubba has steatitis, possibly as a result of
eating salmon & tuna flavored food from a well-known manufacturer. The
vet says that it's more likely due to Bubba being unable to...

How Do Cats Spray? by
PawsForThought
Does anyone know from where cats, both male and female, spray from? I know
they're not spraying urine, so where does the spray come from? Thanks.

Hi there
I have two cats, 4 and 5 years old who have always lived inside in a
flat. Now we have moved to a house with garden and a forest behind and
we were so looking forwards to leave the cats to enjoy.. but I am
scared they panic or get lost or a bigger aninmal attacks them (or

Cat making a Chewing Like Movement all the time by
Rex
Hello,
After spending almost a grand, there seems to be not one Vet in Canada that
would diagnose this problem with our cat.
He moves his head from left to right frequently with a chewing motion. I
know it is hard to explain but I'll try ...
Imagine a human vigourously chewing gum and at the...

Maine Coon Cats by
Jim Warren
Hello Group,
We have a Maine Coon Cat. It was obtained from the Humane Society
The familly that adopted it brought it back and tied it to the fence
that night. It was a very young kitten.
They tossed it into the basement with me where it ran nostop for
several days around the pool table. I don't...

color of cat's mouth by
Joe Diamond
I'm probably going to make this sound worse than it is, but does anyone know
if it's normal for the front part (just around the front teeth) of the upper
roof of a cat's mouth to be darker than the rest of the roof, which is more
pinkish?

KITTY LITTER DUST by
Dennis
Just became a cat owner a few months ago and thought I had done all my
homework on the pros and cons of owning a cat, but there's always something
you miss. In my case, it's the dust from the kitty litter that has settled
over everything in my home. Is there anything that can be done to...

Adopt This Great Cat! by
Mary
We have a gorgeous young male red tabby, neutered and vetted here. He has
been at the shelter a bit too long for comfort and will be "re-evaluated"
this Wednesday, June 29th. The shelter does euthanize cats.
We will not only pay his adoption fee but will find a way to get him to
you--if you can...

Controlling humidity = better health by
John Doe[_2_]
Been controlling humidity for perhaps 15 years.
No more eye seepage and ears look very clean. Not like before.
The only other thing that changed is perhaps their diet is better.
Without a dehumidifier, the air conditioner and heater can be used
simultaneously to reduce humidity, when needed....

Urinary crystals - How long to recover? by
Rachael
My cat was having some peeing problems last night so I took him to the
emergency vet. They said that he was blocked and catheterized him.
The urine sample showed that he had urinary crystals. They kept him
overnight and I got him back tonight.
They sedated him so that they could examine him...

How much do you have to pay to keep from feeding your cat
animal digest (ughh!)?
I am helping the neighborhood cats out right now...and there are a lot

Anyone know of any clean dry cat foods...

I am absolutely paranoid since experiencing my first blockage with my cat

Two Feral Cats by

I recently started working in a place where I frequently see two
obviously feral cats in the back parking lot. They are both adults,
all white, beautiful cats, but a little skinny, and kinda mangy, but
they look in good health otherwise prbably siblings. The parking lot
abuts a fiels with trees and...

Shelters by

What is going on with all I'm hearing about shelters.
Maybe it's like a hospitol the germs end up drug resistant?
Sick cats coming out of them, and so on.
Seems like they could just evacuate the place (if it was possible)
Fumagate it and then put all the inmates back in. (sounds simple, but...
