Disposing of cat poop by
svu geek
Where is the best place to dispose of cat poop and cat litter? Should
it be put in the trash? Or should it be dumped in a pile in the
backyard? I'm more concerned about the environmental stuff more than
anything else. Personally, I'd rather just throw it in the trash. But
if dumping it in the...

Cat Agoraphobia? by
[email protected]
Hi --
My cat Frankie is an 11-year-old male, who somewhat resembles a Maine
Coon cat (dark tabby, medium lenghth fur, large body, short legs).
Generally he has a very laid back and friendly disposition, but also
through the years he's been scared of a number of things, usually
sounds. He used to...

Soft Paw Problem by
[email protected]
I have a cat who has Softpaws on his little paws, and a couple of them
have not fallen off, and the nail of course is growing and one is
digging into the pad of one of the toes of his foot. What can I do
about this before I resort to a vet visit to remove them?

anal gland issues.... can anyone shed some light? by
Sharkman BMW
I have 2 cats, a boy and a girl, about 7 years old.
The girl is fine, but the boy is stinky as soon as you get close to his
private part area!
I don't make a habit of sniffing him there, but when he rubbed up on me
recently, I couldn't help but notice, and was shocked at the smell.
Is this...

"attack cat" by
[email protected]
our newest addition, RugRat, is a 9-10 month old stray male (neutered 9
days ago) who is currently staying with my mom (who's in her late 80s
and uses a walker). RugRat is beginning to show some tendency to
attack Mom and this morning broke her skin and started her bleeding in
three places on her...

Benefiber? by
jmc
Poor Meep is still having some constipation problems. She gets as much
water and wet food as she'll eat... and as she's very fussy, I doubt
she'd go for the pumpkin that has been suggested before.
I was wondering, is Benefiber (the clear, tasteless people fiber supp)
safe for cats? What would...

Questions about Feliway by
[email protected]
I'm going to try Feliway for a problem we are having, and I was
wondering if I should get the spray or the diffuser. I have allergies,
so I am a bit concerned how it might affect me. Is there any smell to
it? I am allergic to perfumes, and I need to use this in my bedroom.
Here's the situation....

would Feliway help when I bring RugRat home? by
[email protected]
I've never hear of Feliway till I saw another post about it. Can some
of you folks give me a beginner's guide to Feliway, how you use it and
what it does in your households? And also if and how it would help
when we bring RugRat (9 month old freshly neutered male) into our
household of two...

[email protected]
there is a Star City Cat Fanciers Cat Show in Roanoke, VA at their civic
center on July 1 and 2 this weekend.
I can't wait to go and going by myself. When others go with me they
aren't as thrilled to see all the cats, etc. and I don't get to stay as
long.
do others in here go to cat shows? ...

Mega colon by
Rhonda
Anyone had a cat with this?
What did you do and how long did it take the cat to get going again?
We've (we and the vet) been working with one of our cats for 3 days now.
I feel so sorry for the cat.

Flea infestation by
Wendy
Just heard on CNN that vacuuming is the best way to get rid of a flea
infestation. They said that the vibration of the vacuum cleaner causes the
eggs to hatch prematurely and then they can get sucked up with the live
fleas. They recommend 3 - 5 times a week and to empty the bag each time.
I've...

Weight loss and Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul Cat food..... by
Cat Slave
Hi,
My tomcat (~5 years old) has been eating Hills Science diet for the
past four years and he has really loved the stuff. Recently I was
chatting with the person at the pet store who claimed that science diet
is inferior food and she recommended Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's
Soul. She ended up...

Sharkman BMW
I have been feeding my 7 year old cats Eukanuba since birth, both are
healthy.
I have been researching the net to find the best food available and I keep
getting the same top contenders.
I have never heard of these, and would greatly appreciate some input from
those of you in the know.
