Someone here jinxed me (OT) by
jmcquown[_2_]
Whose cordless phone went out? Joy? It's all your fault. (teasing!!!)
Mine was working just fine. All of a sudden it's not. I've unplugged and
plugged in the battery (and the phone and the power adapter). No dice. It
worked sporadically last night and this morning. Now it's dead as a...

Ping Marina by

I know you feed Miranda a raw food diet, but not Caliban. I've read
your posts about his coveting Mir's dinner, so I was wondering why you
don't have him on a raw food diet as well. I know you've mentioned that
he tends towards "fluffiness", is that why or is there an allergy or
something...

YAY!!!!! Mystery Solved by
CatNipped[_4_]
It was indeed a blackhead on Archer's chin. I was lightly running my
fingernail over it again and it fell off. On close examination it was a
hair surrounded by an oily plug, black on the outside, gunky on the
inside. WHEW!!!!!! I haven't worried that much about a zit since high...

Jessie The Box Queen by
CatNipped[_4_]
Poor Ozzy, he loves boxes, but he never, ever gets to sit in them unless
all of the rest of the clowder are asleep or otherwise occupied. Jessie
is the undisputed queen of the clowder (well, Demi could dispute that
but Demi doesn't bother with trivial things like clowder hierarchy - she
can't...

I just don't get some people by
Pat[_3_]
Apparently my next door neighbors are adopting a kitten... There's a little
tortie girl in a carrier, been there since early this morning.
When I went out to pick greens for bunny's breakfast I heard the kitten
crying. No one around next door, so I had a look. A cooked chicken wing, a
dish of...

Oranges? by
CatNipped[_4_]
I read somewhere, sometime that cats can't stand the smell of oranges.
This seemed like a perfect solution, to me, for keeping cats away from
things I didn't want them to lie on or scratch, I *love* the way oranges
smell, so the house having that odor would not bother me in the least,
but I've...

cAT tALK by
CatNipped[_4_]
A comment on one of my videos made me stop and think. I carry on a
running dialogue with my cats, talking to them constantly. Ben is
always yelling downstairs "What? What did you say?" and I have to
answer, "Nothing, I'm just talking to Archer." It's always in a
high-pitched tone, not...

Sally's progress by
Pat[_3_]
She's filling out and turning into a playful kitten. Her favorite toy
is a certain cloth mousie something like this one (but even more realistic
looking, and without catnip): http://www.randtpetsupply.com/cat_toys1.cfm -
she likes to carry it around by one of its feet.
This morning around 7:00...

OT - Project Runway Anyone? by
CatNipped[_4_]
Anyone else got hooked into this reality show? I don't know why I'm
fascinated by this show - I'm *SO* not into designer clothes. anyway...
Joshua has *got* to go - I've never in my life seen somebody so full of
himself! Of course, in true reality show fashion (pardon the pun) he
will...

We're getting there! by

I was in the living room, messing about with the new camera then I
decided to come to my computer and Bonnie was on the seat so I said
"It's okay there is room for us both" and sat down next to her..I am
typing this one handed as my other hand is stroking a small purring
kitten.
She doesn't like...

Waffles update by
Joy
The vet called and said she had x-rayed Waffles and didn't find a needle.
Of course the thread wouldn't show up on the x-ray. She recommended I just
watch him, and if he shows any symptoms she'll either do an ultrasound or
some kind of barium test. In the meantime, he seems to be okay. He is...

OT my shoulder by
Christina Websell
I am now taking 18 painkillers/day
I had the ultrasound last week and my ligaments seem OK, but thin.
I am going for a nerve test on Friday. I am fairly sure this is the problem
why I cannot raise my arm. If it is this is very serious.

OT - (And A Bit On Topic) A Couple Of Things... by
CatNipped[_4_]
First, good news! I was at the doctor's today and when I got on the
scale it read 125 lbs (yeah that was fully clothed and with shoes but
still, coming from 80 lbs, that's good enough for me)!!! YAY! They
still want me to gain another 10 or 15 pounds though, I assume because
they expect me...

hurricane update by
Ann
We are okay. Our power only went off for a few minutes but, we lost
internet until Tuesday afternoon. My Mom's power came back on this
morning. She is on a well so she didn't have running water.
Not much damage near me. We were lucky. Along the coast they were hit
harder.

I found the needle! by
Joy
Well, actually, Pickles found it, but it's okay.
A few days ago I posted about the possibility that Waffles might have
swallowed a needle with a length of thread attached. X-rays proved this not
to be true, but I had no idea where the needle was. I was a little
concerned about the possibility...

OT - Opera by
CatNipped[_4_]
I know I'm a no-class hick for believing so, but opera, to me, sounds
like so much shrieking. I agree with dogs who howl when they are
subjected to such ear-splitting agony. OK, flame retardant suit donned
and ready for the opera fans. ; Really , I'm not that interested pro
or con re...

Ungrateful boy! by
Christina Websell
I saw these pouches that were 60 per cent chicken, so I bought 4, thinking
Boyfie would love them.
I gave one of them to him for his meal last night. I thought he would fall
on it with delight. Instead he sniffed at it and said "what the +**& is
that?"
I was so determined that he would like it...
