Brushing hurtful w/ gum disease by
doofus
I bought some enzymatic cat toothpaste and a soft bristle brush.
My cat has had most of his teeth removed, before I got him, but the
remaining ones are red and sore looking near the gum line.
I am hurting or helping by brushing his teeth? I know it is painful to
him, even though I am gentle....

male cat loves plastic... by
Kimkat
Help! I have a 12yo neutered male, adopted in August 2006, declawed in
front (not by me)-- and he loves marking on plastic, or peeing in it.
(plastic dust pan, for example). He has been to the vet to rule out
medical problems, but is there anything I can do? He had also marked
on throw pillows and...

Traveling Kitty by
Suzanne[_2_]
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience commuting with cats?
Due to work changes this fall I am looking at staying in the city four
nights a week and returning home for the weekend (with Suki in tow).
I am concerned about cat's adaptability and how living in two homes
might affect her.
Any thoughts,...

three cats or more? by
oldhickory
I've read some previous postings and info on the web about the number of
cats in a household and the dynamics between them.
We adopted two girls, about 6 months apart, in 2003. The first was about
18-24 month when we got her in Jan. A few months later our eldest died from
kidney failure. The...

Help with Cat personality change by
whumphrey
My one year old is an inside-outside cat.
Recently she has become afraid of everything. She jumps at any sudden
movement or sound.
She had a drastic personality change also. Examples: Sleeps in a secluded
place away from everyone.
No longer begs for food. Will go outside only when forced. And...

My cat is wierd-am I paranoid? by
jennysped
Okay-I am a new cat owner and now I have two! They are sisters-one is much
more active but much more thinner and smaller than the other-she also is
crying a lot, too-she is in heat. She has gotten sick a few times but I know
that it was hairballs-I've watched her eat and she does and she also uses...

Kitties and Company by
cybercat
I had a friend come visit for a week, and it is always the same old
thing--this wonderful little tabby who does all these cute things turned
into a neurotic little hider!
He was here for about a week, and toward the end of the week she came out of
hiding as we sat in my office. We ignored her...

Question on Antibiotics by
Melissa
Hi -
I recently noticed that my cat has some discharge from his eye. It was
a little greenish. I'm pretty sure that it's his URI acting up. Right
now things are extremely tight. I don't have the money to take him in
to a vet. Is there anywhere I could get antibiotics that does not cost
a...

Leaky Bottom Kitty by

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone out there could give us some advice. We
recently got a new kitten. She is 8 weeks old. We are feeding her the
same dry food as the shelter was (Nutro Complete Care Kitten). She's a
very cuddly kitten but cries a lot. I mean a lot. Pretty much anytime
you aren't...
