Do those kitty litter mats work? by
Ted Swirsky
My cat has a way of storing kitty litter between his toes and tracking it
through the house.
I just saw a mat with lots of plastic points (think tiny bed of nails)
that is supposed to go outside the box and cause the litter to fall off.
Anyone have experience with them and do they work? Other...

Kitty in urgent need of a good home by
usenetjunkie
Hello,
About 2 months ago I took in a young female striped tabby (1 y/o),
after finding her alone in a parking lot one night shivering in the
cold. She's adorable, playful, and affectionate. No health issues
that I know of. The problem is that I'm no longer able to keep her for
reasons outside...

Question: Curing cat-human worm infestation by
Gerard Anthony Gold
Hello,
I have been feeding & petting this feral cat. It has these little (less than
an inch long) white, thin worm-looking things in its anus. I kind of guessed
they could be worms, but since I did not see any movement, I lost that rain
of thought. Recently, when I sit on the couch, the cat has...

teaching kittens to use scratching post by
[email protected]
On behalf of a very fussy guy who's getting 2 kittens, what is the most
effective way to train a kitten to use the post instead of the couch?
These will be indoor/outdoor cats so declawing is out of the question.
I've read up on most of the tricks, i.e. spritzing with water pistol,
two-sided tape,...

Cute cat, cute photos. Please don't post them here. Photos should
only be posted in binaries newsgroups. Post your cat photos in the
alt.binaries.pictures.animals newsgroup and we'll be happy to go there
to look at them. Well, some of us will.
Cheers,

Kitten severed nipple in half! won't deficate. by

First, the info:
Male 4-5 weeks old Found in good condition/health after mother cat
died.
A vet's visit revealed no apparent blockage in the intestine, and
teeth development which indicated age to be 4-5 weeks, although the
kitten is smaller than average for that age.
We have had our new kitten...

Air purifier for eliminating odors by

I'm a first time cat owner, and I'm not used to the smell of the food,
