Carey the unusual kitty update by
Janet B
As of last Friday, Carey has been on an increased amount of Cosequin
and the addition of Cyproheptadine and have stopped the Prozac. I
have a call into the vet about the Prozac though.
Urination - nothing except in the box! YEA!
Aggression towards other animals - daily and no trigger...

Blacktop or black top on cats' paws from driveway by
[email protected]
Here's something that's been bugging me for 2 years.
2 years ago my cat wandered out over black top, that cold stuff you
black top driveways with. I think it was SealMaster. You get that from
Sears.
I called a vet who said any cure would not be worth the hassle.
I called the company that said...

tEX eINSTEIN
Hi all...
Just wanted to share a great discovery with everybody.
I discovered an awesome deShedding Tool called the FURminator.
I've been using it to deShed my cat Harry and haven't seen a hairball since.
This tool is great and REALLY, REALLY works so if you have problems with
hairballs then check...

Botflies. by
Kalyahna
Anyone else seeing a rash of these nasty little icky things? We've had three
yesterday (one in a neck, one behind an ear), and one today (found it up a
kitten's nose!) and I know we've had an awful lot of them this year already
anyway. They're disgusting, but fascinating. Anyone know if a rise in...

From this point forward I'll no longer take part in your games of pin the
tail on the ass. All posts from me will be cat related, unless provoked for
one reason or another.
Let's see how many of you get bored :)

How interesting. It appears, by your next statement, that you have no

your words are having an equally null effect on Dan?

Ping Phil P. - Weight Question by
CatNipped
My vet said that Sammy needed to lose 1 pound to get to her ideal weight*.
So I've changed all 4 of my cats over to canned food almost exclusively (but
I still can't get them to eat it all at once since they're still used to
"browsing", so I still leave it down until it's all eaten - sometimes 8 -...

Pouches or cans? by
Steve Crane
What is the preference here? Pouches are a bit more expensive, but
easier to store and serve, cans are a bit less expensive and are not
aas easily damaged.

Tough Question by
wizof103
When I looked up this subject matter on the web, I found nothing but
jokes. I am watching a cat for a friend, the cat is in her days here on
earth. She called the Vet and she stated there was nothing she could do
for "Peg". She is 14 and the owner has seen her fail for the last 18
months. The owner...

I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it: I don't care
about the useless pre-fabricated crap this message usually says. All I
say is, it works. Continue pre-fab crap.
WELL GUESS WHAT!!!
Within five days, I started getting money in the mail!! I
was shocked!! I...

I am bringing my five cats from Northern VA to San Juan Puerto Rico

lbs.
Any suggestions on where to get low cost airline approved cages?
Anyone in the DC area who has them for low cost or free for me?
Any experiences with United...

mounting behavior? by
J1Boss
OK, some of you have read the saga of my little whacko cat Carey, who I really
do adore, strange behaviors and all.
She has weaned off the phenobarbital and her vocalizations have improved
dramatically. Unfortunately, she is back to attacking the dogs over noises,
but they take it in stride. She...

Encouraging to drink water? by
Newbie
My cat seems to have zero interest in drinking any water I put out. I
mostly feed her canned food, which is supposed to have "enough water
for processing". However, there are times when I have to leave dry food
around.
In any event I'd feel better if I saw her drink water regularly. With
food, I...
