Kitten watches TV & sees self in mirror by
mig31m6
Hello Everyone
I have a 3 mo. old female kitten that sees herself in the mirror,
watches TV and if on a news station, tries to catch the messages
crawling across the screen. Is this standard behavior or do I have an
oddball? I don't remember my previous cat doing either of these
behaviors. I'd...

Why they do this...? by
Flycaster
I have a generally well-behaved 8 year old cat when it comes to using
her litter box. She has only urinated outside of it a a couple of
times; however, although ocassionally (once. twice a month), she will
poop outside of it. Usually, when she does this, it will be on one of
our scatter rugs, and...

Decided not to put TB through surgery... by
NateB323
Today's decision to NOT put TB through the surgery was probably THE MOST difficult decision in my life. After hemming, hawing, and crying about it for 4 days, I discussed it further with the vet and something just told me to not put him through it. I decided to bring TB home with meds and pray...

interferon omega by
dawn g via CatKB.com
I have been searching for Interferon Omega for my Kitty and think I have
figured out how to get it. The FDA Division of Compliance can accept a
request from Vets to order medicine from other countries. Once the
information is faxed to the FDA, they will then send out a letter approving
the purchase...

cyproheptadine? by
Janet B
Anyone have a cat taking this for bladder/urinary issues?
We're starting Carey on it today. I can't wait to see what it does to
her appetite - she's already always wanting to eat!
I've taken it for allergies, had a cardiomyopathy cat take it as
appetite stimulant and now Carey for possible...

Real fish as a one time treat by
Mike S.
My dad went fishing several months ago, caught some fish and would like
to feed them to my cats as a treat. The fish have been sitting in the
freezer for several months and my dad just recently stuck them in the
refrigerator to thaw out. They've been in there about six days, should
that be a...

Mathew Kagis
....Long story short. I'm buying a house (with my girlfreind). The
woman we are buying from has 2 cats, whom she claims she can't keep
when she moves. Cat (my girlfreind) & I allready have 3 cats between
us... Plus her teenage son. So, as much as we'd like too, having a 5

Struggling with decision... by
NateB323
I've been posting about TB and our battle with his liver disease. He is in the vet right now on IV fluids because he had a bad weekend, vomiting up to 4 times a day. I would have to syringe feed him right after he vomitted to make sure he got some food in him, then 3-4 hours later he would vomit...

Liquid med help by
Snittens
My little Ana, about one year old, has to take a liquid med 2.5 ml twice a
day due to her liver shunt. Sometimes it's a bit of a struggle to give it
to her and she is fighting me as she takes it, so I have to squirt it in
quickly. After I give her the med, she runs off. Occasionally she...

Carey the mystery cat by
Janet B
For any who have read past posts, great. If not, please know that a
bajillion tests have been done and so many things tried, we're
exhausted.
Carey had an ultrasound today (what's another $355 on top of all the
other inconclusive tests we've had?!?! ;-D).
She has an apparent mass where her left...

reintroducing the cats (to each other) by
Justin L
Hi group,
Well, Jake is still beating up, and terrorizing poor Elwood once in
awhile, so I have decided to try reintroducing them again.
I went out and bought 2 better gates than I had in the previous
introductions, so that hopefully will help.
A few questions:
*Is there anything that should be...

Baby Food by
Paul Olson
My two "plain" Tabbys just LOVE a nighttime snack of some Gerber baby
food (turkey, vegetable, and rice). Together they eat about one
6-ounce jar every two days. Their "regular" daily food is a rather
basic dry food. On Sundays they split a small can of canned food as a
treat. Could they be...

poor luna piddled herself!!! by

Well, my dear little Luna is a complete freak when it rains/thunders.
Today, we are having the first rainstorm of the summer (seriously!!!)
and apparently, when I left the house about an hour ago, I closed the
bedroom door with Luna locked in. Usually I am smart enough to check and
see if she is in...
