Innova (and Other Foods) and Struvite Crystals redux by
Rona Y.
My cat has recently gone through a bout with struvite crystals. During
her last vet visit, it was determined that the crystals had dissolved,
but there was still some sign of infection. She was placed on a low
dosage of antibiotics to make sure the bladder walls had healed with no
bacteria...

IBD, raw food and wierd science by
furfin
I don't feed raw but I've read about cats with IBD responding to raw.
My vet doesn't reccomend raw because of possible infection with
bacteria and parasites. Now here on my favorite layman-readable science
site is an article about research involving intentionally infecting
humans with whipworms to...

arthritis. She had blood work about a month ago and nothing was
abnormal. Now, she has this weird thing she's started doing...4 times
in the last 3 weeks, she'll suddenly get really wide eyed and just
constantly sniff around...

Help....odd litter box problem by
dm
Please Help! I'm having litter box problems with my kitty.
She has suddenly decided that she absolutely will not use the litter
box more than once unless it's cleaned.
When the box is cleaned, she'll use it. After that, she will go on the
mat in front of the box until I clean the box again. I...

My cat is scared of EVERYTHING. by
xxStrawberryFieldsForeverxx
I have a 10 year old cat. He's still VERY VERY youthful. He
was rescued from an alley with his brother, and brought over to my house in a
box. That must've been a very traumatic experience for him because he's been
scared of everything ever since then! He is pure black. His name is Midnight,
and...

My sick cat needs help! Advice please by
Phillip
My cat is 3 years old. Ever since we have had him he has had puking fits
about once every 2-3 weeks. When he has these fits he will throw up food in
a couple of big piles, and then he'll continue to throw up what looks like a
milky, mucas like substance. He has now developed another problem in...

[OT] Does Anyone Here Have a Boring Job by
Cat Protector
Does anyone here have a job so boring that you wonder what the person who
hired you was thinking when you knew you had more experience than the job
required? Sometimes I think employers look at your resume once and despite
your vast experience they think you are just perfect for the lowest end...

Serious Constipation by

Our cat has been back to the vet three times now over a period of about
2 years with serious constipation. Each time he's had a full enema and
has been OK but the problem has slowly crept back (this current time
being by far the worst) In fact the poor guys at the vets now, so wish
him...

Baby oPossum explosion - my boys are interested by
dgk
As some may recall, I have a small backyard fenced in to allow Espy
and Nipsy to go outside. Well, a few days ago I see Nipsy in the hall
playing with his toy mouse. No, it's a live, or rather, dead mouse.
Burial at sea time.
Outside, a bit later, I see Nipsy playing with something, and...

Plant thing ,breakage, & windows by
ensoul
my cats don't chew on them, never have...what do they do is knock them
over, which often breaks the container the plant was in and they've
been known to urninate in the dirt, effectively killing the plant.....
I only have four windows, they are wide windows (2 large panes) higher
up, the spare...

cat too old for playmate? by
Camilla Cracchiolo
Is our cat too old to add a kitten to our family?
A year and a half ago, a 5 month old kitten walked into our lives.
Very sweet and incredibly smart cat. So we fixed her, vaccinated her
and kept her. She's now about 2 and an indoor cat (well, we take her
out on a leash, sometimes.) Very social...

Dental by

Antibiotics are a good idea to prevent an infection from the cleaning. Open
wounds in the gums can be a problem. What you paid was a bargain.
I think getting your cat used to pilling right now is a good thing so that
some day when your cat again needs medication it may be a little...
