Kitten Milk Replacer by Wendy
After getting a number of bad cans of KMR (PetAg) kitten milk replacer last summer we don't feel comfortable using that brand any more and are looking for an alternative. Has anyone heard anything about Just Born for Kittens made by Farnam? Any other brands that you'd recommend? Wendy

pancreatitis by YvonneD
My 10 year old cat has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. He wouldn't eat the bland food prescribed by the vet so she suggested I give him any low fat food. I give him Science Diet Light, which he likes a lot (when he's feeling well). She told me to give him 1/4 of a Pepcid twice a day. She also...

How to Give a Cat Medicine ???? by [email protected]
http://cat-health.fantastic-galleries.net,There is really no easy way to administer medicines to your cat. Cats are quick, and can easily slip away from you, and hide. Try various methods, until you find one that works for you and depending on the size of your cat. 1. Prepare the medicine you have...

Antibiotic woes; appatite stimulant? Advice needed. by Gandalf
Kenzie, my 14 year old Calico cat, has been on Clavomox (ammoxicillin) since the evening of 3/2/10. It's for the indolent lesion on her inner lip, discovered when she was in for a 'routine' dental cleaning. TED said if Kenzie didn't look better in 5 or 6 days, to get a refill on the antibiotic; I...

need advice on giving Stomorgyl to my cat by Nadia N.
I took my 9 year old cat Kotyo to the vet today because over the weekend he started pawing at his mouth while eating. The vet said that there were lesions in his mouth. At least that's what I understood - my Spanish is not perfect and the vet doesn't speak English. She showed me a couple of...

What's wrong with my cat - PLEASE HELP by YvonneD
I have a 10 year old male. Three days ago he vomited. He had eaten about 3 hours earlier but what he threw up was food. I give him dry food, but it had been digested so there were no pieces. He does occasionally throw up right after eating, but then it still looks like dry food. After he...

Easily digestible food by JEP
Because of some gastrointestinal issues, I had to put my 14 year old indoor-only male cat on Hill's Prescription Diet w/d. He seems to be doing fine on it (both the wet and the dry). I want to transition him back to an over-the-counter food, so does anyone know which ones might be closest in...

Opinions - kittens for old cat? by jmc
Many of you here know Meep, my 13 year old, spayed female only cat. She's not lived with another cat since I adopted her. She's a very quiet cat but still does get the rips on occasion. She's arthritic and on medication. She's a needy cat, and I keep thinking maybe another feline companion...

Teen Gets 1 Year Prison For Burning Kitten To Death by .Richard Clark
Many teenagers do things because they haven't been raised to have a conscience about their poor actions. A better punishment would be to have any of these animal offenders live like an animal for a while and work with them so that they can develop respect for the animals. full...

Poor abandoned kitten! by jmc
So, someone at work today mentions they've seen a black kitten hanging out near one of the entrances and has anyone else seen it? Not me, I walk by that entrance every morning. But then again, I'm not looking for a cat, and I'm walking in at 6:00am when it is still very, very dark. Anyway, a...

Duffy's Day - 7th annifursary by MaryL
I can't believe it...I actually let "Duffy's Day" go by unnoticed until I read some "congratulations" on another group. Duffy adopted me on Jan. 31, 2003, so we have now had 7 wonderful years together. He was estimated to be 3-5 years old at the time, and probably closer to 5 years. So, that...
