Pawcuffs by
Alasdair Baxter
Is it possible to buy pawcuffs to stop cat jumping on to kitchen work
surfaces to eat scraps of meat etc? Would putting pawcuffs on puss be
considered cruel?

Pawing at litter... by
[email protected]
I have two wonderful rescue cats whom I have lovingly dubbed "Crazy"
and "Lazy." Crazy was a stray that I took in after a co-worker found
him and offered him up. I've had him for almost a year now. He's been
to the vet, had his shots and, aside from being overweight (which is
being addressed...

Pawing Dry Food on to the Floor by
Peg Caldwell-Ott
Alino is our 18 year old (as of June 23) Blue Point Siamese, and just
the most sweet and dear little guy that anyone could hope to have. He
has always been a BIG eater, very fond of his food, but never messy
with it. For some reason, he has now started to dig his right front
paw into his dry food...

pawing the ground by
jr via CatKB.com
I have noticed that the cat will often sniff her food and that starts
pawing the ground around her bowl (similiar to litter box covering). I had
previously thought that this was there way to say, 'no way' to the food but
she just comes back later and eats it. Is she just trying to cover the
food...

Pawprints on the counter by
Kath
Help! I have tried all the usual methods to keep my fearless feline
off the kitchen counter and nothing is working. She doesn't mind
being squirted with water, will happily walk on foil or sticky tape,
and loud noises from falling tin cans do not bother her at all. I
even tried wiping down the...

Pawsense? by
Dom
Thank you to everyone who gave input on the doggles idea! I still may
try them-- despite his wild and crazy ways Jonas can be a very tolerate
cat. He went to Petsmart with me the other day and sat quietly without
any fuss. If we could get a handle on his biting I truly think he
would make an...

PBS funny cat by
possum
On PBS, show called How we got to now, about sound, there was a segment showing firemen sliding down multiple poles, side by side, a cat ran to a pole and slid down alongside the firemen. It was the funniest thing.

Peace lilly question. by
No1
So I was reading and it seems these are not good plants for the "kids" to be
munching on. Personally we don't care for them to munch on ANY plants, but
that's beside the point. However, point in question, we were just given a
Peace Lilly and before we could put it in it's own room, our...

Peanut's Recovery: by
hanson
Peanut spent from Tuesday afternoon until Friday afternoon at the vets,
recovering from his injuries after being stuck between two tree trunks.
I have two goals with Peanut. 1) I must get him to eat and: 2) I need
to give him pills 2 times per day.
With regard to #1:
Peanut has barely eaten...

pectus excavatum? by
disgruntled hamster
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with pectus excavatum in
the mature cat..
I recently adopted a 3-5 year old domestic shorthair mix with an
unusual chest deformity. (The cat also has some minor spinal defects,
which her vet believes she was probably born with.) None of the vets
at our...

pee cleaner? by

what's the best thing to clean where the cat WON'T STOP peeing on the wool
carpet to get the smell out so maybe she'll stop? (also planning a
litterbox/litter/configuration overhaul) ...it may be part of the problem
that she won't stop because now she thinks it's where she's supposed to go
because...

pee on carpet in closet by
k conover
We just moved to a new house and I've decided to keep my orange tabby inside
because the street is busier and he's been less friendly to cats visiting
the yard lately, he got in a really bad fight at our old place!
I like to leave the door open (with the screen door shut) so that he can
look...

Pee Problem by

Help! I have a beautiful, loving, devoted (translation: stalker) seven
year old cat that pees where he pleases. Here's a bit of history.
Maxwell was about a year old the very first time that I went on
vacation. We boarded our dog, a yorkie that Max is great pals with.
Max was home alone. My...

Pee-Pee Time by
[email protected]
Dear Ann Landers:
I have a house-guest who happens to be a cat. Last night he peed on
the cushion of my couch. What I am I to do with this loathsome thing?
Love,
****ed-on in Canada
P.S. By "loathsome thing" I refer, of course, to the cushion.

Peeing - perhaps not the run-of-the-mill reasons by
Jeff Traigle
My cats are 7 years old and have been 100% indoor cats all their lives.
The female, Imp, has a history of urinary tract infections that have
caused her to pee on my bed and futon. The male, Tiger, has never had
this problem.
For three months now, I have been fighting a losing battle with peeing
on...

Peeing all over the place by
Wendy
Tiggy's not happy. She has peed in the bedroom, living room, bathroom and
outside her box in the kitchen. She just went to the vet last week and
doesn't have a medical problem other than the arthritis and just being old
and crotchety. We have her on Cosequin and it seems to be helping -...

peeing everywherre by
K...........
Hi there,
Our boy is about ten years old now. He's been the most loving faithful cat
around, but he's cost me a small fortune in vet bills as he has FLUDT the
crystal blockages as described in earlier posts.
He's clear for now, the last block was about 2 years ago and we've kept him
on a diet of...

Peeing in an inappropriate spot by
Mark Healey[_2_]
One of my cats (about 6yo) started peeing on my dirty laundry pile. The
first time I assumed it was because I neglected the box for a couple of
days. Now it seems he thinks this is his peeing spot.
How can I correct this?

Peeing in corners by
Sylvia M[_3_]
I've been out of town, visiting my daughter and her family, and attending
my granddaughters university graduation. . . that's the good part.
My daughter's cat, Cleo, started peeing in corners of the room with her
litterbox, and on the rug in the foyer.
This may have started when they acquired a...
