Must Discuss the Kitties' Welfair by
Shylock
Hello,
It has been announced the spill-well cannot be fixed. Soon there will
be a stampede of human flesh.
How are you going to handle your kitties. The water willnot be
drinkable and the grocery stores will have no food. Are you ready for
that? The evacuation has already begun - very secretively...

Snuggles is not pooping by
tbenner
Snuggles is 13 years old and had to have her 6 lower back teeth
pulled last Friday. I've been feeding her Perscription Diet a/d food
since. She has not hardly pooped since last Friday. I'm wondering if
the a/d food has so little waste that she just doesn't need to go?
Have other people seen...

Update by

Well folks, thanks for all your advice - it's worked, and they seem
fine !
They were carefully introduced as suggested, and I kept Bella, the new
cat, separate for a short while in her own room to make her feel
'safe' and welcome, at least by us humans.
Then, she was gradually let out and...

Triple Antibiotic ointment by

I took house cat to the vet for a scratch on her neck that
got infected. They gave her a shot of antibiotic. She's
getting better but I wonder if I put some Triple antibiotic
ointment on her neck and she licked it off, if it would
hurt her? Any thoughts? When I clean her neck with hydrogen
peroxide...

In memory of a friend. by
Bill Graham
I am very sorry to have to report that my favorite cat, "B-K" that I picked
up as a yearling in a Burger King parking lot on the day before Thanksgiving
in 2004, passed away last night at 11 PM. He died of liver failure from
something poisonous that he ingested, probably last Tuesday. Cats keep...

Another danger to outside cats. by

I am normally an "Outside cat" person, and my five cats are all
outside/inside cats. (they have two cat doors through which they can get
outside the house) I have gone around and around with inside catters several
times now, and I don't want to renew that discussion. However, recently one

Cat-proofing my mattress? by
Rhino[_3_]
I have a conventional box spring and mattress that I am looking to replace
because it is just too hard.
I'd like to know if anyone knows any ways that I can reliably cat-proof the
new mattress so that my two cats, both of which have their claws, don't
sharpen their claws on it the way they did...

Thanks for replying to my question. I tried emailing you directly, but I

I'm having a bit of sticker shock here... Meep is having some sinus
problems, and my vet is trying to talk me into getting a dental at the
same time they look at her sinuses, due to the concern about putting
older cats under anesthetic.
They want over $600 for a "level 3" dental - that's just...
