behalf of the owner. yesterday I took the little lady to the vet and
it was done. I bought her home and once out of the carrier started

replacing rug on cat scratcher post by
[email protected]
My cat's 'rugged' scratching post is really losing the rug due to the
scraching of it.
Does anyone out there know how to replace the rug on the scratching
post? I don't want to buy a new post as this one he loves and lays on
top of.

Update on my visitor... by
Ajanta
A few months ago I wrote about a cat that visits me and I feed her
regulary. As winter approached l worried about how to let her in
without making her wait outside. I had decided to install a cat door.
However, a family emergency forced us to travel overseas for a few
months, and the cat door got...

Gracie's Latest Kill by
cybercat
I was working on the computer, was really engrossed, and kind of surfaced to
hear the sounds of my little seven-pound tabby playing "capture and kill."
Strange little meows that she does when she flips a toy with her paw to make
it seem alive so she can then chase it, then THUMPS as she bodyslams...

Any advice on "curing" a bitey, scratchy cat by
Hang Dog
We got a tortoiseshell cat from a rescue centre a month ago. She had
been placed in the rescue centre because her previous owners couldn't
handle the behaviour change after they had a baby, previously she'd been
a nice cat (apparently). She was adopted from the shelter but was
brought back because...

Off to the hospital on Monday :( by
[email protected]
I posted yesterday about my 13 yo cat vomiting and having no appetite.
I am still convinced it is a bad hairball, so I tried giving her
zantac, as rec by the vet. She struggled with me then threw it up.
Foamy stuff. She has no interest in food but I think she is taking
some water (she did pee...

We have (had) 2 cats one 17 years old and one 20 years in May. The 17
year old became ill about 4 weeks ago,got thinner and thinner. She
disappeared last Tuesday night, we thought maybe an urban fox got her

to be let in and...

Bringing 3 semi-feral cats indoors by
[email protected]
I have 3 semi-feral cats who have lived in a small shed for the past 5
years. I want to bring them indoors with my one cat. These outdoor
cats have always had good care and yearly vet visits. But I am
concerned about bringing them indoors and the terror they will go
through during this process. ...

Brenda's licking the end of her tail into a spike by
[email protected]
Hello all, Our Brenda has started a habit she licks the end of her
tail until it looks like spike. She walks around with her tail straight
in the air. I have searched to see if there is any injury, but No,
nothing... She is not licking the fur off just fashioning it into a
spike. Brenda is one of...

The little thing's sore on hind leg is back. Depo? by
Wilbur Post
Now it seems like it's the left hind leg rather than the right one that she
licks. There may be a small sore on the right hind leg too, but I'll have
to check again.
She's had two shot of depo medrol in the past year after a combo of
Tresaderm and Prednisolone didn't seem to work.
Some of you...

Bladder Problems? by
[email protected]
My cat has been acting funny the last few months. She meows quite often
for no reason- usually when she comes into a room. 2 months ago she
started to urinate on the floors or on piles of clothes/towels on the
floor. I've noticed that many times, whether she's outside or inside,
she squats to...

What's coming next for aged cat? by
Echo
Hello all,
I have a 4 pound 17 year old indoor cat who, until two days ago, was in
great health for her age.
Then quite suddenly she started loosing her balance and falling over. The
tipping action starts with her hind legs collapsing and then the rest of her
little body follows. This seems to...

Cat canines when cat smelling? What does it mean? by

Hi
I have a female domestic cat about four months old.
A friend came over and she owns about six cats and
was wearing a sweater. She and my cat were on the
couch. My baby cat(she was about 10 weeks old) sniffed
around the arms of the sweater then did the dangdest thing.
She sat on the couch with...
