Switch from urinary prescription - is it possible? by 4Katz
Has anyone had any success with weaning a male cat with urinary problems off a prescription diet (Royal Canin urinary s/o) to a more natural diet? I am feeding 3 of my cats Katzenflocken and would love to get the other one off the dependence on a prescribed food that I really know nothing...

Cats & Coffee by Ruby Tuesday
Usually in the morning when I prepare my coffee, I've got grains of it covering my hand, from spooning it out of the bag. Mico LOVES to lick the stuff off of me. Is this a good thing or what? Thanks in advance, - Ruby Tuesday

Veterinary malpractice by Charlie Wilkes
I found this quite interesting, especially as it is published by the Animal Defense League of Arizona, where Candace lives. http://www.adlaz.org/factsheets/malpractice.html They suggest letters to the licensing board and the local vets association. Here's what they say about...

Cat on long drive by doug
I have a dear cat that I love very much, and when we travel anywhere, she goes all day without peeing. If I drive, you know, eight hours, she will wait until I put her kitty box in the motel room and then go in the evening, late. This might be okay for a day or so, but I would hesitate to go on...

housepainting and cats' health by [email protected]
I need to paint my living room. I'll keep my cats, Shiloh and Tiger, in another part of the house until the job's done. My concern is that the paint job involves patching up holes with spackle/plaster and sanding them down before painting. As you may know, this creates a huge amount of fine dust....

Caring for an 11 year old cat? by Buddy
I would have blood work done annually at least at this age. Especially look for liver and/or kidney failrue and hyper thyroidism and possibly diabetes. Just keep the blood work up to date.

any canned foods with glucosamine? by [email protected]
Kira gets some canned food and some dry food. She's doing better since adding the hairball remedy, but I'd like to increase her canned food since that goes through her system easier. But I hate to lose the benefits of having the glucosamine in her food already. I don't seem to have much luck...
