Amber's bald spot by ---MIKE---
I noticed yesterday a bald spot on Amber's left side. It's about the size of a quarter. I suspect that Tiger pulled out some hair. It's not bothering her. See it here- http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/View?u=1777604&a=13746147&p=74646854&Sequence=0&res=high ---MIKE--- In the...

OT Photobucket by ---MIKE---
I have been trying to join photobucket for the last half hour. I enter all the data and then I get "There was an error in your submission. Please confirm the captcha code in the box." What the hell is that? How can I contact photobucket to ask? I am about to give up! ...

Happy Birthday Amber by ---MIKE---
Today is Amber's 16th birthday. She is doing well. The Cosequin has made her walking and stair climbing easier. She is eating very well right now. I may give her some catnip later but she doesn't usually eat much of it. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire ...

OT--ISN'T THIS A CAT GROUP??? by ---MIKE---
I am getting discouraged with this group. There are too many off topic posts and very few posts about our cats. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44° 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Elderly cats by ---MIKE---
Try "Cosequin for Cats". It's helped my 17 year old female (Amber). You can order it from Amazon.com. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Morning routines by ---MIKE---
Amber and Tiger are creatures of habit. They have a series of morning routines that rarely changes. When I get up I tell Amber to wait on the bed for her hug (she usually sleeps on my bed). I go upstairs (that's where the living room/kitchen is) and Tiger meets me at the top of the stairs. ...

Bedtime routine by ---MIKE---
About 9 PM I turn off the TV, go use the love glove on Amber and tell her how good and beautiful she is. Then I head down stairs and tell her it's time for Friskies (indoor delights), a snack that she likes. She goes down stairs and I give her a sample. Tiger is there and he wants some too. ...

Happy birthday Amber by ---MIKE---
Sweet Amber is 18 years old today. She moves slowly but is eating, pooping and peeing like a champ. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Taurine supplements by ---MIKE---
I am thinking of getting some Taurine powder to add to Amber's food. When I make my lunch, both cats demand some of the deli turkey and when I have chicken for supper they demand some of that too. The result is that Amber doesn't eat as much cat food as she should. I'm happy to see her eat but...

Tiger is at the vet by ---MIKE---
Early this morning I took Tiger to the vet. He needs a rabies shot and a badly needed "butt shave". He has to be sedated for the shave because he doesn't take kindly to being "messed with". That means he didn't have breakfast and he will probably be a terror when I pick him up at 5:30. ...

Ping Sherry by ---MIKE---
To answer some questions: Yes, Webtv keeps long (read 300) posts at the top every time a post is added. I was frustrated by this and took it out on Kyla. I apologize to her for this. Webtv has other advantages and I much prefer it over my computer. Tiger is doing just fine now BUT he still...

OT New "pets" by ---MIKE---

Amber is hard to convince by ---MIKE---
When I feed Tiger and Amber, I only put about 1/3 of the (6oz) can out at first. This is because Tiger would eat his whole half at once and promptly barf it up. Amber eats a little, leaves and then comes back for more - usually five or six times. When the can is empty, I tell Amber that it's all...

Tiger smiles by ---MIKE---
Who says that cats don't smile? I caught Tiger in one of his good moods! http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/View?u=1777604&a=13746147&p=76023549&Sequence=0&res=high ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44° 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Re-Naming a Cat by ---MIKE---
When I got Tiger at age four months, his name was "Tweedles". That wouldn't fit a 24 pound Maine Coon! He responds to his name when he feels like it. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44° 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Judge David Young by ---MIKE---
On today's show a woman was suing a taxidermist for botching a job of freeze-drying her dead cat. She wanted the cat's heart returned to her so she could make it into a pendant. The judge awarded her $2,000 for pain and suffering. He was very sympathetic but wouldn't it have been better to...

OT Purrs requested by ---MIKE---

OT Purrs requested UPDATE by ---MIKE---
The purrs worked - thank you. Everything went very well. The only pain was the insertion of the IV. I don't remember going to sleep. I woke up less than an hour later in the recovery room. Two polups were removed but everything looked ok. When my ride arrived I went with him to the cafeteria...

Cosequin for Amber by ---MIKE---
I have been adding Cosequin to Amber and Tiger's food for about a month. It's really for Amber who at 13 seems a bit lame. The way I feed them I have to mix it in the food for both of them. Amber seems to be moving a little better so I will keep it up. (I am taking glucosamine/chondroitin for my...

Trying new cat food by ---MIKE---
I am trying EVO - a canned food by Innova. It's cheaper than Wellness and seems to have similar ingredients. There are no by-products and no grains. The cats love it (almost too much) - cleaning their plates quickly and wanting more. It's about $10 less for a case of 24 cans. For the time being...
