Does your cat come when you call it? by
John Doe
Mine do.
If I want Kiki's attention away from food/similar, I have to be stern
about it. But if I want Kiki to come when she is not busy, all I have
to do is gently call her and maybe stretch out my arms in a welcoming
fashion.
Kitty does too, but maybe not as easily.

Cat is limping by
blkcatgal
My 16 year old cat began limping 2 days ago. He was fine in the morning and
when I came home from work, he was limping on his front leg. I'm not sure
how he may have hurt himself, if that's the case, but it may be that he fell
or tripped on the basement stairs because when I came home from work...

Digging holes by
name
My nine year old female cat (spayed) constantly digs holes in my lawn
but almost never excretes. I took her to the vet and she said there was
no evidence of a problem. We treated her anyway with antibiotics just
in case she had a urinary infection.
Should I be concerned?

Cardiomyopathy - what's the best course of action for diagnosis? by
Juls
Jasmine (age about 5-6 months) has been doing some panting after
strenuous exercise and so I've made an appointment to have her checked
for cardiomyopathy.
What I'm wondering is how is this diagnosed? The panting is her only
symptom, so I'm hopeful it's just that she doesn't know when to...

Cat breathing loud, smells off by
[email protected]
My adult cat has been breathing loudly out of her nose and she smells
funny. I don't know how else to describe it. She also is losing weight.
I brought home a kitten about 4 months ago and for the most part they
get along these days. I think the weight loss is related to the kitten
being a fat...

Escape the Fat-Free Diet Trap by
Denise Strothers
Since the "fat-free craze" began, statistics show we have grown fatter and fatter.
Just because a food is fat-free doesn't mean it's calorie-free. Get up to speed on "good fats" and lose the fat from your body, not your diet.
Today, supermarket shelves are packed with foods that call to dieters...

teejay58
This is my first time here. I have a tortoiseshell 6 mo old who is over the
top rambunctious. She chases anything, everything and nothing. Our other
cat is so docile and makes us wonder if Patches is psycho? Any help out
there?

Friskie's Dental Diet? by
Ken Knecht
A friend told me that Friskie's Dental Diet made his cats sick. I've been
feeding a limited amount to my two cats for at least a year - maybe ten
pellets a day. Neither seems to be bothered and their teeth seem to be
clean. The few cases of throwing up seem to be hairball related.
What has been...

Cat tattoos? by
gravatiaX
Hi-
I adopted 2 beautiful brothers from the animal shelter on Sept 29. The
shelter told us that they were 2 yrs old and that they were originally
brought in sometime in Feb 05. Then (not sure when), someone adopted
them, only to return them to the shelter in early Sept. After a
check-up, our vet...

cat nip addiction by
cat nip addiction, is it possible? My Mozzy will only come in or take
notice, if there are cat nip treats to coax him.
Is he addicted, just spoilt, or like the misses says, twisting me round his
pointy little claw?

Ringworm in cats question by
[email protected]
Just got back from a doctor's visit and the irritation on my arm has
turned out to be ringworm. Have an indoor only cat, 2years old dsh
that is showing no signs of lesions at all. If the cat is not showing
any signs I'm assumming he can still be infected with it, true? Is it
necessary to physically...
