Wow, my last litter is arriving right now by
sheelagh
It may be 2.41am in the UK, but Momma cat has decided that it is time
to have her kittens.
She came and called me to tell me that it was time, & got me out of
bed to come and hold one of her paw's for her.
So far we have 2little blind white mice, but I am sure that there are
a few more to come...

New cat owner with obese cat by
Dom
I adopted a cat (my first) that is 33 lbs, and I need help finding a
good food for him. I got him a mate to get him moving but no success
there.
He gets a 3oz can of wet food, and so does his mate, but I think he
takes most of his mate's food. I also give him about a cup of dry
food, and another...

Please don't flush your cat poop - Toxoplasmosis and Sea Otters by
Lynne
I just came across this article on Feline Pine's website and am going to
stop flushing my kitty poop, even though I'm nowhere near California. If
Toxoplasmosis harms Sea Otters, I would guess it's a problem for other
water critters.

Afraid to have my cats teeth cleaned by
Tara Legale
I am so afraid to have my cats teeth cleaned. I'm petrified of losing her
during the sedation. She is going on nine, means the world to me, I'd be
devastated if I took her in and she died. I've already lost two pets in my
lifetime to anesthesia. I know her back teeth are very heavy with...

Update on Clyde by
Naomi
Hi everyone, I just thought I would let everyone know who's interested
about my poorly moggy.
Thank you for your email, I don't check this account daily which is
why I've only just seen yours!
I have spoken to the vet this morning who has had Clyde on a drip all
night and anti-biotics. He has...

SICK and TIRED of people dumping their animals...... by
[email protected]
I am SICK and tired of cleaning up after people. I live in NY and
just recently my wife and I went to the catering hall that is hosting
our wedding and noticed a cat eating out of a catering dish. We asked
the catering manager and he told us that someone dumped him and that
he has been there for...

Feline Cycles by
[email protected]
My cat is almost a year old (born Septemer). She must had some puberty
by now but nothing too discomfiting. What I want to know is, do heat
cycles occur regularly, annually, predictably, or what? (What I REALLY
want to know is can I avoid the extortionistic expense of spaying and
innoculating her...

5 Months to young to neuter?? by
beachgirl
Hi all,
My 5 month old kitten has begun to spray around the house. I have
contacted my vet to set up a time to have him neutered and they are
REFUSING to do it. They have indicated that he is too young as he is
not yet 6 months old and that it will be too hard on his body (note:
he's a big...

urgent - fear of cat bite by
kitkat via CatKB.com
Yesterday I was petting my cat - he got a little annoyed and gave me a
stronger nip than usual - he took a decent bite out of my hand which was
bleeding for a while. I washed it off and put on a couple bandages. I
barely felt it so I thought little of it. Today the area of the bite is...

Tweaker -- bladder infection, Baytril by
Charlie Wilkes
I haven't been following this group because I've had my hands full...
I had to go to the mainland to have my appendix removed, and the day I
was released, my tenants contacted me and told me Tweaker was ****ing
blood. I had them put him on a plane and got him to the vet right
away. They diagnosed...

Public Apology by
cybercat
I should not have called Barry a "knuckle-dragging piece of ****" just
because he let Jupiter get pregnant.
Barry is a brilliant man, a creative genius, and a loving, caring person.
Somewhere in there.
So I apologize.

Do cats get hot spots? by
Corey Kaye
Juliet is a 9 year old DLH. She was diagnosed with IBD several years
ago and was on z/d for years. Right now she's on Innova cat food, and
has not had any digestive problems. She's an indoor kitty that doesn't
go outside ever. I have several other cats that are also all indoor-only.
Today I...

a surprise for some of you by
Rhonda
Barb, I think I'm confused. Everyone's posts go on google and in the
archives as far as I know. I'm on dial-up and mine have always been in
there. I've used google for years, deju-news before that, to pull up
past posts.
Am I missing what you are saying?

3-year-old cat w/ dilated cardiomyopathy by
[email protected]
A month ago, my 3 year old cat Omar suddenly opened his mouth and
seemed to gasp for air. He's a big cat (20 lbs and looks like a Maine
Coon mix) so he often seemed a bit winded when he exerted himself. This
time his tongue was blue so my mother rushed him to the emergency vet.
There he was on...

Need help with anorexic cat by
0to60
My 13 year old cat hates food. Over the last 9 months, he's lost 25% of his
bodyweight. I've taken him to the vet, but she can't find anything really
wrong with him. I'm convinced its behavioral. He's become so finnicky,
he'd rather starve than eat. I've tried a multitude of different...

Serious Constipation by
DrLargePants
Last year our cat was suffering with serious constipation
(googlegroups link he http://tinyurl.com/2z7k8n)
However in the last 6 months or so, he seems to be having to go back
to the vet for a clean out more and more frequently. The last time he
was at the vets for nearly a week, and he's been...
