scratching the wall by yepp
Anyone else have a cat that is a little too helpful when covering his poop and scratches the walls? Mine have managed to make a huge hole in the paint/plaster from scratching the nearby wall. There is no where else to place the litter box. Is there some material I can use to prop up against the...

Purrs for my brother Scott by jmcquown
The PET scan was inconclusive so he's been referred to an oncologist. He heads over there this morning. I have no idea what other scans/tests the oncologist will be doing or recommending. Jill

Crackle Sak, another installment by jmcquown
Persia has hereforth abandoned her napping spot in the closet in favour of the crackle sack. I made the mistake of putting some catnip on it and now she won't leave it alone! The only time I can get her to stop is to chase her up to the bed to sleep with me, and sometimes that's difficult. ...

cat related employment by kaleigh
As for jobs with kitties, the only ones I can think of are veterinary related, cat sitting, and groomer. Does anyone know of any others and/or how to go about training for/ aqcuiring such a job? How about training/ certification for grooming?

He's HOME! by Helen Miles
He's a very, very spooked little boy and very jumpy, but we (as in my brother and I) eventually found HRFL under the brambles in the lane at the back of my house unharmed although shaken. As a black cat, Thank Bast I had the sense to put a reflective collar on him, as it was the reflection being...

Brother Scott: No Cancer by jmcquown
I don't know what further testing the oncologist said but he told my brother he does not have lung cancer. Of course he fussed at him for being a smoker and Scott is going to try to quit. Meanwhile, he'll go back in 6 months for another check just to make sure. Thank you all for the purrs! Jill

FIP vaccination by kaleigh
Both my kitties live indoors. Although both rescues, they are 3 years apart in age and free of health problems. Still I worry about FIP knowing two people who each suddenly and tragically lost a young and otherwise healthy cat to this disease. My vet refuses to give my kitties this vaccination. ...

Where's that boy? by [email protected]
Hmm... I've been on the computer for a couple of hours, and Smudge is here, happily destroying my monitor by sleeping on the vent. Roxy is snoozing on the living room couch. But I haven't seen Licky around for quite a while, which is odd. He usually comes around for scritches and attention when I'm...

I'm now on Dennis' laptop because my computer is getting shipped. I have no clue what he does, he doesn't know much about computers. But there's been some kind of spammy software installed that causes a window to appear about every 5 min while online. It says: Message from SYSTEM to ALERT on...
