A Tribute to Pericles - by Sammy by CatNipped
My dearest Pericles, I hope that your Daddy might read this to you over your grave when he is strong enough again to do so. Alas life didn't give us the time to get to know each other well, but what I did know of you I liked very much. May I even be so hesitant to say that love for you was...

A Trip to the Shops by Bev
I was in a hurry yesterday. I drove the car down the drive and saw the mail in the letterbox. When I jumped out of the car to retrieve it a terrible vision met my eyes. Bonnie was in residence on top of the car and all ready to go shopping!! She had jumped on top of the car from the beams in...

A True Story......Dedicated To All Of You Who Have Raised Daughters by bonbon
My Daughter Turns 22........ It all started about a week before the 12th of September (my daughters birthday). It was late, I think around 10:00 p.m., and really pouring @ss rain outside. Heather calls me on the phone and say's "Mom, I need you to bring me your electric skillet, because I'm...

A truly dedicated cat slave by Joy
My sister and brother-in-law live in Valdez, Alaska. I saw on the news last night that there had been avalanches completely blocking the only highway out of town, so that it was completely cut off. I called today to see how they were doing. They are fine, but they've had so much warm weather...

a truly dust free cat litter? by Karen
So, is there one? I have noticed Pearl's feet being very dusty upon leaving the cat box. We use unscented Arm and Hammer clumping litter. Supposed to be 99% dust free, but..... What would be the best litter to get to minimize her being in dust?

A tutorial in hiding. by Karen
Sugar is very good at it. I tossed this kitty mat on top of her while she was lying on the floor and she retreated like a turtle in its shell. I also have a very funny, very short movie of her sllooooowly dragging her prey underneath it if anyone is interested. About...

A Tuxie "must see" by Cheryl
This little girl has been in the shelter since 2000. That is at least 6 years. I can't imagine that. At least she's in a foster home. Ok peeps, if you had a foster for 6 years, wouldn't you be calling her "yours" by now? ;) My original intent in posting her Petfinder ad was to help find...

A typical day by Lesley via CatKB.com
Dave was telling me all about yesterday a perfectly normal day with the Fabulous Furballs. First of all, before I went out I made some toast for myself and took Dave some in. He ate one bit then dozed off , woke up a little later, thought "Hmm. ..toast" (He can eat it cold, I prefer not to) rolled...

A unique box by jmcquown
I just posted a pic of Persia in a rather unique box on alt.binaries.pictures.animals. Seems she would like to work for the U.S. Postal Service :) (If you can't get to this ng, shoot me an email and I'll send you a copy.) Jill -- I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

A UPS delivery and cultural relativism by Wayne Mitchell
From my point of view: I had just sat down to lunch. Will was behind me on the chair. (He is allowed to be present but not obtrusive during meal times.) I heard footsteps on the porch, followed by a knock at the door. Guessing that it was some form of delivery and might require a signature, I...

A Usenet poster to change light bulb by Stormin Mormon
found this in a different group but I though it was appropriate, just change light bulb to cat. How many group posters does it take to change a light bulb? 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how...

A Valentine by Charleen Welton
A Valentine to Polonca and her best friend Soncek. They have always been here to cheer us up, to cheer us on. To say positive words when we need them, give us a hearty pat on the back when we deserved it. She has cried with us, and laughed with us. Polonca has seen us through births and...

A Vent from Snowball by Exocat
LO Catfolks I'm a quiet sort of fellow normally but something serious has happened and I need to express myself (vent, I think you call it) about it. It's my 2nd Purrthday today: the official end of my kittenhood. Obviously I was expecting a considerable fuss and quantity of presents on such a...

a very big rat by Christina Websell
I found one deceased on the path down to my chickens yesterday. I knew Boyfie couldn't have dunnit as it was far too big for his comfort zone so my neighbour a few doors away who also has chickens are probably poisoning. I've chosen not to use poison, I did used to once but I saw a rat dying...

A very brief update on Smudge by Julie_Snowshoe[_2_]
She decided she did not want to leave her kennel condo tonight. She didn't hide in the back room or in the litterbox. She even came to the open door and let me give her pettin's. The door of the kennelcondo was open and Spagola went in to check out her food and she ducked under him to get to the...

A very diffiicult decision by Pat
I love Eli so much, he's a wonderful cat, a great mouser and was an excellent babysitter for Beatrice (before she grew so big). But he is making everyone here miserable. It used to just Abelard that he picked on, but now it's everyone except little Beatrice. Baby Eyes, Tommy, Billy, Lily and...

A very good evening with OtherKitty, aka Sweetie by Mark Edwards
A very good evening with OtherKitty, aka Sweetie. She is very quick about extending trust to me. Tonight, I brought out a small towel to dry her off because she was wet. For a few minutes I got the "Oh no! You are going to do something unspeakable to me with that towel!" But she is very food...
