Dusty is missing - no, he isn't by dgk
I exchange cat sitting duties with some of my neighbors and Dusty is so timid that I never see him when cat sitting although I do play with the other four cats in the household. Serene's son stopped by last night to let me know that Dusty had apparently gotten out through a partially opened...

Dusty RB by TJ and The Dust
The hardest thing I have ever had to type. :( Last night it my best buddy suffered some kind of stroke that caused him to loose control of his legs. Within hours he became more and more weaker and quietly passed to the bridge while I held him in my arms. Just before he died he turned his head and...

Dusty's day at TED by TJ and The Dust
He has more blood drawn for his extensive thyroid test and had his blood pressure taken. They had to shave off some fur on his back leg and he could care less. His BP is a bit high. TED still thinks he has Hyperthyroid issues and I guess this test will tell the tale. The galloping heartbeat and...

Dusty's outdoor excursion by TJ and The Dust
Dusty really likes to sit in front of the windows when they are open. He loves all the backyard sounds and can stare outside for hours. Now he has been a strictly indoor cat for 11 years. I thought I wonder if he would tolerate a harness and leash so he could at least come out in the yard with...

Dying to wee but it's raining hard by Christina Websell
Boyfie has a litter box but he refuses to use it. So it's either the litter box or outside. He's chosen outside. In big rain. which is stupid. His litter box has soil (earth) in it,as the only thing he would pee on at the vets but he says only dirty boys pee or poo in the house.

Dynamic Dave (OT) by Lesley via CatKB.com
I may occasionally give the impression that I live with the World's laziest man- okay sometimes I do but he's being very impressive this week! Basically one of our old friends was chatting to Dave on email last Friday about a musician called Jimmy Carl Black (Zappa fans will know the name) who has...

Dyson "Animal" vacuum by yepp
I am going to buy the purple "Dyson" this weekend and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with Dysons. I have 2 long-haired cats and they shed daily. Lots of hair! The reason I want a Dyson is because it doesn't lose suction power overtime. I am getting the purple "animal" with all...

E-collars by jmcquown[_2_]
Persia has been doing fine except she's been chewing at her leg where the IV was. She's ripped out a patch of fur and has been constantly licking it so it looked sore and painful. Then I noticed it looked like it was oozing. I called the vet, worried about infection. They had me go over and...

e-mails by Dave Gerecke
A friend sent this on to me I'm in the Army and currently (at the time this anecdote was submitted) deployed to Kosovo. As the local techie, people usually come to me with computer questions. After we had been here awhile, a computer network with Internet access was installed. Being a net fanatic...

Eager beaver by Marina
Sometimes Nikki does what i call her eager-beaver thing. It's not just her face, but her whole body seems to hum with excitement. Her eyes are big as saucers and popping out of her head. She pushes her whiskers so much forward that her whiskers pads stand out from her face. It's especially...

Eagle fox and cats hanging out together by Takayuki
Do cats, eagles, and foxes really hang out together? I was looking at the fascinating bald eagle videos on YouTube and I came across this strange and cute and stragely cute headscratcher of a scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSEd6O0bBFs

ear drops and a kitten by Mark Edwards
I have a really painful ear infection. I have to put in eardrops and cottonballs. Bucky has decided to help. I am lying on my left side, balancing the bottle over my ear. Bucky has decided he really needs to tell me how much he loves me. As he headbutts me, a couple of drops roll down my cheek....

Ear Mites? by Jeanne Hedge
Natasha has never been a cat that's sensitive about her ears. However, over the last few weeks it's gotten so that any contact with them causes her to flip them (the "make whatever's touching me go away" flip). She also started rubbing her ears on the corners of furniture. She had a checkup last...

Ear Scritches by jmcquown[_2_]
When I'm stretched on the couch reading a book (which happens at least once a day) Buffy has to be right there with me. She's learned to give herself ear scritches while I read. Well, one ear anyway. LOL She settles herself against the back of the couch, facing outward with her forepaws on...
