Bumblebee brand Figaro tuna by Ken & Sandy
Anyone else have cats that loved this? I just discovered that Bumblebee has stopped production on the Figaro tuna cat food. Two of my six cats won't touch any other canned food but this. Now a new search starts for a tuna they will like just as much. :(

Good News about Meep! by jmc
Her tests all came back normal, apparently to the vet's surprise as well as my own. She's almost 13, so normal and 'very good' blood tests are a double blessing. Her kidney's strong and healthy, no signs of cystitis at all! Vet said her not feeling well (she seems fine now) probably stem from...

MD's & vets. by James
My problem with MD's is they don't take the time to educate you. This may be due to the fact that they are paid by insurance instead of weathy patients. They put you through a bunch of cover theiir ass tests and are lousy in the art of healing. Worst are the ones who couldn't get a good job and...

Hand Raising Orphaned Kittens by [email protected]
Hi All, I was just informed that the web site that folks had been referencing for my old writeup on hand raising orphaned kittens has finally gotten around to deleting my old web files. I figured that if people cared enough to complain, I'd better let someone know that document is available on a...

Cat insurance by chatnoir
Have been looking at the Kroger preferred plan!: http://www.krogerpersonalfinance.com/insurance/pet-faq.asp It seems to cover a lot of the routine items - teeth cleaning and annual exams up to 220 dollar! The other plans outside of Kroger cost around 20 dollars but seem to cover very little...

Giving a cat a bath by honeybunch
My cat Snappy is a domestic short haired cat but he has a very thick soft pelt which is fine in the wintertime but in the summer it is a bit of a problem. I brush him constantly but its never enough. He gets hairball and is uncomfortable with the heat. I am wondering, in advance, of the...

Meep goes to the Vet on Monday... by jmc
I'm starting to get worried about her. Y'all that have read my posts, know that she's been thin, I thought due to our continuing argument over her food preferences - canned, which she needs due to cystitis, is my choice, she prefers dry, which even with prescription dry she had attacks. Well,...

Update- Cat Cataracts by Poe
Just a quick update on my one year old cat, Peanut, who I posted about last week asking for information on cataracts. Forgive my use of layman's terms, but I'm not yet up on the technical terms wrt cat eyes! Anyway, I took Peanut to a specialist today. Glad I did. Now we have a good data to...

he was an unneutered very feral tomcat which showed up on our doorstep several years ago and it was only in the last few months that we've even been able to touch him much less pick him up. we kept him in most of the winter during the bad days but he's torn our curtains to shreds and taken out most...

OT Joke of the day BW IS NEEDED MAJORLY by Matthew[_3_]
This is from newshound Dave Barry's colonoscopy journal: I called my friend Andy Sable, a gastroenterologist, to make an appointment for a colonoscopy. A few days later, in his office, Andy showed me a color diagram of the colon, a lengthy organ that appears to go all over the place, at one...

Cat bumps water dish by Stan Brown
More and more often lately, Milo has been deliberately bumping his water dish so that the water slops out on the (wood) floor. I've tried different locations, so I don't think he just dislikes where it was located. Any idea what he's trying to tell me? -- Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems,...

wasting cat by [email protected]
My wife just called with the test results - kidney failure. The cat seems comfortable today but eats nothing and does not move. in fairness to the holistic vet, she divined kidney trouble when we brought her in in December - no tests but she said she could feel it by palpating (sp). I took a dim...

Cat suddenly throwing up after environment change by jamina1
Hello everyone - I have two cats, and one of them is acting somewhat weird. I'm not concerned yet enough to take her to the vet, but I am somewhat worried. Basically, recently I donated one of my couches to the Salvation Army. Cat in question enjoyed hiding under said couch. Now that the couch...

Happy meal toys by James
Sometimes you get tiny stuffed animals. OK to let the pets play with them? After all human kits play with them.

On Choosing a Vet by [email protected]
Lots of stuff recently suggesting that some Vets are better than others - Surprise, surprise. Here are a few suggestions on choosing a Vet. Possibly even several Vets - for different reasons. 1. Although bedside manner is important, remember that it is the animal that is being treated - not you....

thanks all for the replies. the next day after i posted, we were able to get our cat into the vet - a neighbor up the street had a four wheel drive and took us. our cat has a broken pelvis but the doctor said x-rays showed it was broken below the hip joint and that it will heal itself over the...
