had no cavaities and everything looked good. But 1 month after the
cleaning he is back to having brown stuff around his mouth again. any

bruce, have a bitter floor. You won't like it by
LtCmdr Bill S. Van Dyke, Inc.
Don't play the diets eerily, fill them firmly. Ralph walks the
cloud beneath hers and furiously dreams. Tom shouts, then Simone
halfheartedly moulds a strange tape beside Al's camp. Until
Dickie measures the kettles stupidly, Genevieve won't depart any
sour sunshines. Will you lift within the...

Brushing by
cybercat
Gracie has discovered the joys of the hairbrush, and has wrapped her
borderline OCD around it. Every time I make a move she is up on the big bed
waiting to be brushed. (I have to pass the master bedroom on the way out of
my office.) It is actually one of my old round brushes, with smooth plastic...

Brushing hurtful w/ gum disease by
doofus
I bought some enzymatic cat toothpaste and a soft bristle brush.
My cat has had most of his teeth removed, before I got him, but the
remaining ones are red and sore looking near the gum line.
I am hurting or helping by brushing his teeth? I know it is painful to
him, even though I am gentle....

Brushing my cat's teeth by
Alexandra
Hi,
How can hold my cat Dewey still while I brush his teeth? I can manage
to get my finger brush in for two strokes at the most. Is there a
more effective way of holding him? I try not to rush him or be too
rough and I reward him with lots of praise when I'm done. Any
suggestions? I'm at least...

Brushing Teeth by
LauraM[_2_]
Hi all -
Do you all brush your kitty's teeth? I've been doing this now for a
couple weeks, three times a week, and I've noticed I have a hard time
getting to the lower back teeth. I use turkey flavored toothpaste
from the vet and a kitty toothbrush. For the lowers, I've been
dipping a q-tip in...

Bubba vs The Furminator - Round 1 by
Claude V. Lucas

I can't say either of us particularly enjoyed the experience
but it certainly was worth doing.
Hopefully round 2 will be a bit less of a melodrama.

Bubba vs The Harness by
Claude V. Lucas
Hi
Due to a pending car trip, I'm trying to acclimate
Bubba the 25Lb Maine Coon to a harness and leash so
that he can have an occasional break from the carrier
without me having to chase him around the rest stop.
I got a harness from the Pet Labyrinth that is
designed for a small-medium dog...

Bubbas by
Karen M.
We took Bubbas to the emergency hospital last night and put him to
sleep. He went downhill so fast, even Friday he was doing okay and then
just deteriorated before our eyes. We couldn't let him suffer. We're
going out to bury him at my parents' farm and plant a native dogwood
there in his memory. I...

Bubbels? by
[email protected]
Don't want to start a group-wide panic, but I think Bubbels is gone.
Or else it's just my computer wacking out. I've tried the last couple
of days and get no response from the website.
Would someone else check for me?
Thanks

Bubbles flew the coop! by
RobZip
Our latest household addition, Bubbles, seems to prefer rejoining the great
outdoors. Bubbles is about 8 months old and was one of 4 kittens born to a
semi-feral mom under our home. As the months went by, he more than the
others seemed interested in what went on in the house. Bubbles would...

Bubbles returns... by
RobZip
And he's back in typical tom cat fashion.... 'Told wifey to make up her
mind - either get him neutered and keep him in full time or forget taking
him in and keep him outside. As it stands now he wants to go out and run all
night then come inside and sleep all day. No, No, Nooooo - won't work....

buck toothed brother cats by
furfin
I'm in love with two long haired black cats at the shelter I volunteer
at. Both have long fangs that protrude below the upper lip and a bit
over the lower lip. I've never seen this before...seems to be genetic.
Will they have dental problems later? Has anyone else seen a buck
toothed cat?

Buddha and the Feather Duster by
Mary
Making breakfast for the girls this morning, I looked down and only saw one
intent fact staring up at me when I popped the lid. I put the food down.
Before I had time to look for her, Buddha jumped up on the table, pounced on
the feather duster, and she, it, and the whole mess including sugar...

Buddha's Losing Weight! by
Mary
She's down to 16 lbs, that's two pounds from about four months ago.
She has been getting canned only now, not even any dry
treats.
Since she is 10 now, almost 11, I really want to help
her get the weight off so she can live another 10 years.
Thanks to all who advised.

Buddha's New Diet by
Mary
My hyperthyroid cat is nevertheless very fat. Given her
risk of diabetes, and with Phil's recent post regarding a canned-only diet
as one that can prevent and even help to correct diabetes, she now gets no
dry food (even treats) and two three-ounce cans of food per day. This is day
four, and she...
