What does it mean? by Takayuki
Lately, Betty's been pawing at me more and more. A few minutes ago, Betty was following me around, and when I sat down, she threw herself on the floor, rolled over to show her belly, and pawed at the air towards me. I told her she was very pretty, and continued to read some papers. She then came...

Fluffy's other brain cell by Yowie
Tish invited Joel and I to meet her managerie. I had to let her know, first up, that I am *deeply* jealous of her, because her new house is just *stunning*, as is the property it resides on. It has views of the Blue Moutains, it is surrounded by bushland (including a dam and a creek) and the...

Back AGAIN by badwilson
Sigh...this seems to be the story of my life! We've been away travelling around Thailand with our friends Helen and Bruce from Canada that were here visiting for 3 weeks. Just got back on Friday night and I've been reading messages night and day trying to get caught up. I feel terrible for missing...

Next Best to the Real Thing by Sherry
I found an interesting website and wanted to share with you guys. It's a robotic cat, developed for use in nursing homes with patients of dimensia. Pretty neat idea, I thought. http://www.robotherapy.org/maxdiagram.htm Click on "cat" for the story. Sherry

Wellness cat food - petition by jen.d
I figure there might be a few others feeding Wellness canned cat food here, so this petition might be of interest. Wellness canned has long been a grainless cat food, which is why many have chosen to feed it. There has been a debacle recently where the company allowed (or "mistakenly allowed")...

Another song offering for the voyagers by Denise VanDyke
This one kinda tells the highlights of the trip. This was put together quickly, so suggestions on improvements are welcome. I think all the verses scan properly to the beat. I think. Additional verses are also welcome. - Denise (being manipulated as usual by Brenna) Volga Boatcat...

Purrs please by GraceCat
A dear family friend was involved in an accident last night about two am. He fell asleep at the wheel of his truck and hit a tree. He was thrown out of the truck, through his back glass and into the truck bed, it's horrible. A few hours ago they were unsure if he'd make it. His parents...

Purrs for Lacey by Julie Cook
I know I haven't been responding to post much lately but we have been checking the list for requests for purrs and sending them out. Now I'm here requesting purrs for Lacey. Today we noticed she isn't opening her left eye. She's rubbing it a lot as well. She'll go to TED tomorrow but in the...

TED visit by Marina
I had to take Frank in for another blood test to check his thyroid levels. I really hope this was the last time I have to take him in for a long time, because it breaks my heart to see him so terrified. He really hates those pricking needles. On the way there on the bus, he gave his customary...

A giggle by GracecatOnl
Overheard a few moments ago: "Ewww, Eve you stink and you're coming my way!" Abi was on the sofa and her baby sister wanted up close and personal time with her, complete with biological warfare. Grace snickering

Thank you all. by Don & Lisa
Just want to say thank you for all the purrs and advice. You have been so good to this lurker. Fireball just finished his ham, baby food, and almost all of the canned cat food. His own little buffet. Dry food is down at all times, but his teeth are not great so I don't know how good he can eat dry....

HazelAZ by Yoj
Has anybody heard from Hazel lately? It has been some time since I've seen a post from her. At that time her husband was threatening her and her cats, and she was trying to save up enough to move out. I hope she and the cats are safe. -- Joy "You can never do a kindness too soon because you...

Berfert Feels Much Better!!!!! by Tanada
We took Berfert back to TED today for a check back, but we knew before now that he is doing much better. He hates the taste of amoxicillin, but only needed two of us to medicate him at first. Last night, we had four of us holding the little guy in place. He also gained 2 oz since last week, and...

Trouble brewing for the Touchstone kitties (long) by Steve Touchstone
There may be trouble brewing here now that Rocky has decided he wants to be a lapcat. First, Little Bit has never been thrilled that Rocky has been invited into her house, though she seemed resigned to his presence as long as he stayed on the floor. Now that he's decided to join us in the recliner...

I've never recieved a holiday card PRIOR to Thanksgiving. Unfortunately I don't recognize the name.. Lisa, Beauregard, Alacrity and Puddy Paddy.... ???? I feel appropriately shameful for not recognizing you. Now fess up so I can make sure you're on my list! Lovely sparkly card, by the way. I...

Purrs Update -Good news, some bad, some ok. by GraceCat
He's not out of the woods yet and they won't even begin to speculate for another 24-ish hours but there is a bit of good news. They decided not to ambulance him four hours away, it's too long a journey and gamble to keep him stabile (or stable?). The ambulance service sent for their jet and...

Help!!!! Long by Don & Lisa
Very long story shortish... My 17 year old man, Fireball, spent one night in E-room and one night at TED. VERY bad heart murmur, heart rate way too high, heart about 45 to 50% too large, and to top it all off, bad thyroid. He is down 50% body weight from four years ago. Anyway, two heart pills a...

Christmas card! by Renee Darvin
Hi all! I got my first card yesterday and I want you all to know how much these cards warm and delight an ol' lady's heart! I wish I could mail cards to each of you, but since I can't -- may I be the first to wish you a happy, healthy, hearty, "catly" holiday season! Hugs,
