OT but seasonal by Joy
Some might find this offensive. I'm sure others, like me, will find it delightful. THE DIGITAL STORY OF THE NATIVITY -- Joy Don't buy the daily papers any more, woman; read all about what's going on

The Biggest Kitten by Pat[_3_]
You wouldn't believe if you didn't know Billy that he is five and a half. You would have to know that he's a giant, but if you didn't know when he was born, you might think he was years younger. Tonight he's chasing kittens around, grabbing their tails, skating and sliding across the wood floor,...

Abelard is much better by Pat[_3_]
Just got an update call from the emergency clinic. Abelard's blood profile is much improved today. Not all the way yet, nor is he completely rehydrated yet (they do it very slowly so as not to stress the heart) but he will be going to his old vet in Mtn. Grove (Whetstone) to stay on the IV for a...

Lorelei update 12-18-2010 by Gandalf[_2_]
Lorelei is doing pretty well, and making (very) slow but steady progress. She no longer hides in the basement at all, anymore. She divides her time pretty equally between sleeping in my bedroom, and sleeping on her cat tree :) Sometimes I find her meatloafing in the dining room on a little stack...

Maternal dog raises kitten litters...! by Gandalf[_2_]
Once a year, a 3 year old small dog (chihuahua-foxy-cross) goes into 'false pregnancy', and begins producing milk. Each time, the good little dog raises a litter of kittens! http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/cutestuff/4400012/Maternal-dog-raises-kitten-litters or: http://tinyurl.com/2bwxnw3

Unwelcome visitor by Mishi[_2_]
Here I was, minding my own business, coming back to the house after feeding my outside crew. I was walking up the path with my honor guard, Willa, Penny, Walter and Lola, and as usual, they went running ahead - and came to a screeching halt. I was wondering what caused them to lock up their...

An Enigma by Yowie
In all the years I have been owned by cats, they still surprise, amaze and confound me. Suki is sitting on my lap as I type. I've been scritching her head non-stop for the past half hour and as a consequence she's purring like a chain-saw and has that blissed-out look on her face. Yet her tail...

Pics: Foster kittens by Marina
My niece has two new foster kittens. Apparently, they're still very feral and shy. I will meet them in person on Yule eve. I need a coat with big pockets. http://www.flickr.com/photos/deinin/5268765281/in/photostream/ -- Marina, Miranda and Caliban. In loving memory of Frank and Nikki.

I am sure none of you remember me but I was a fairly regular poster here, and in rec.pets.cats Before the Split until my beloved place of work decided that posting to newsgroups was not core business for a university (for those who feel the urge to check me out I had a different email address...

Bright Eyes update by Mishi[_2_]
Well, the little imp is about 11 weeks old now, and is very much a cuddle bug. My hubby is HIS slave, and he demands lap time several times a day. His partner, Bertie, is about 13 weeks old, and is finally calming down - she was (and still can be at times) a holy terror. Picking her up to...

Hi!!! Remember me? by JeanneHajos
Here's wishing all of you a happy Christmas and a great new year. I've been away from the Group for almost a year but hope to catch up now and begin again. Frankly, it has been a horrible year for us here and I'll be delighted when it's over and a new one comes in. I'd like to scratch 2010...

Purrs for stray / lost kitten by Kraut / Larry Stark
Yesterday I came home about 2 PM and found a mostly white calico kitten curled up in a childs car seat that was setting out by back door to be put out for rubbish pickup. The kids said it had been out there most of the morning. Probably trying to keep warm where it was in the teens. Took it to The...
