People and allergies by
Bonnie Forman
Wondering if anyone has any knowledge of what current drugs are out
there (prescription or over the counter) that are good for people who
are allergic to cats.
Seems to me I recall seeing a commercial recently, but I can't remember
what the drug was!
TIA
Bonnie

People needed for Pets by
Karen

Corporations and businesses are now sponsoring two to six people
evacuation teams made up of their own employees. I didn’t want to do it
but I am really going to play on your sense of adventure. The police
and national guard are jealous of our day because...

Pepcid for cats? by
Brian Link
My son's girlfriend's cat had a case of the pukes (on a Saturday night
of course - I think our cats prefer the emergency clinic to our
regular vet). We took her to the clinic, which did a blood test,
physical exam of the mouth and throat, and took xrays.
Little booger was fine, but the doctor said...

Pepto Bismol or Kaopectate for diarrhea by
[email protected]
As I had written, my mom's cat with the sore on her right hind leg
developed diarrhea last Thursday. We thought it might be caused switching
her from Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice to Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin
and Stomach due to a persistent sore on her right hind leg.
She's back on Chicken...

Performing Cats by

Couple of cute performing cat pictures at the NY Times.

Sometimes a cat doesn't want one trick, so he does another."

perfume a cat would love by
furfin
I'm reading an interesting book about perfumes and looking for a new
scent for myself. Like the catgirl I am, I tell the perfume salepeople
that I, my cats, and my man all have to like it. I've brought home
samples sprayed on cardboard but the cats back away from them or sniff
them dubiously.
I...

Perils of Seeing the Vet NOW w/OUT Becoming Informed by
Elle
One of the Marys here pointed out today that I did not respond to some
requests to elaborate on the following (which I posted in response to John
McMaster on May 13):
---
John McMaster: ... the advice to visit a vet NOW is always good.
Elle: By itself, no, it can be fatal.

Perimeter Inspection by
Brandy Alexandre
It doesn't matter what time I go to bed (different every night), but
Kami does a perimeter insopection about fifteen minutes before I hit
the sheets. Does anyone else notice this with there cats? As an
Aries, she tends to be a little militarialistic, but it doesn't escape
me notice that she does...

Peritonitis in Cats by
Stacey
I'm looking for information on peritonitis, not FIP, just peritonitis. Any
information or sources would be greatly appreciated. I haven't been able to
find much if any at all, even in the Cornell Book of Cats. Has anyone had
any experience with a cat who had it?
Thank you very much,
Stacey

Permanent mark on fur instead of collar? by
223rem
My cats keep losing their breakaway collars (on which I
write my cell phone #) when playing outside.
Would it be possible to somehow mark their fur
with a die to make it obvious that they are pets? I've
considered writing my cell phone number on them with a
permanent marker, but I wonder about...

Peroxide and Cats? by
CatNipped
Jessie got a small scratch on her paw pad. I tried to dab it with peroxide
on a cotton ball, but she was having no part of it. DH suggested putting
some peroxide in a small bowl and then dipping her paw into that. I didn't
want to get her fur soaked in peroxide - I know licking off the little...

The kittens are ~6-1/2 weeks old and, after a minor slowdown during the
hot weather, they're back to full speed exploring this morning. Two of
them have learned to jump up (as opposed to hooking in and pulling
themselves up) well enough to get into the bathtub. (Time to...
