What's the deal with veal? I find this discussion very strange. Why isn't
it
popular and is this the reason veal occupies such a small section in
American
supermarkets? It's true that beef as exists here is very different from the...

Custer learns a valuable lesson by
nik Simpson
Don't mess with wasps or bees. He came in last night with his face all
puffed up and big sting on the top of his nose. It was too late to do
anything, and he didn't seem in any discomfort so I decided to assess in
the morning. Anyway, all's well that ends well, he's fine this morning,
no...

Weather!!! by
MLB[_4_]
As there appears to be no "cat talk" perhaps we can discuss the weather.
Here in the Rockies, it is just like summer -- today. Don't know how
long it will last. I heard one report about snow on the mountain tops.
Best wishes to all. MLB

Maru (again) by
jmcquown[_2_]
Some of you have probably already seen this:

It just goes to show what lengths a cat will go to to try to get into a box.
And Maru is soooo photogenic :)

Finally we have a kitten! by
Lesley Madigan
Bonnie's always been on the subdued and serious side- she plays with
Sarsi and a fether onna stick but as for kitten mischief....forget
it ...she's always reminded me of a character from some sort of
romantic novel say like Jane Austen or Barbara Cartland- the sort who
comes from a poor but decent...

If winter comes,,,,? by
MLB[_4_]
It's dark, damp, dismal and cold. There are reports of snow down to
five thousand feet. TuTu asked to go out on the back patio to see what
is going on -- she stayed a few minutes and now is in front of the heat
register. I noticed one lovely rose by my front door so it apparently
didn't...

Really, really surprised!! by

The packers came today. Boxes and paper flying. I figured the cats would
be up in the basement rafters. Quite the opposite!! I was so surprised!!
They were out snooping, getting in boxes and having to be shooed away even.
Now lets hope this spirit they have stays with us when we start the...

My new cat by
Christina Websell
I was sitting on my armchair with Boyfie at the side of me when I became
aware that there was a cat on the arm of my chair, I could see him out of
the corner of my eye so I petted him and he came on to my knee. He was
tabby & white like Boyfriend but he was a lot bigger, but thin and he had...

Plugged up & rusted cans by
Pat[_3_]
Seems we have water issues in this house. The drain line is now completely
stopped up - probably with tree roots - and the flooding this spring made
the basement so wet that a lot of our stock of tinned catfood, stored on
shelves too near the walls, is rusting. I have had to discard at least one...

Any Other Droolers? by
CatNipped[_4_]
Archer will get so ecstatic when being rubbed, skritched, brushed and
petted that he will half close his eyes and start to drool! I've never
seen a cat do that (although I've seen tons of d*gs who do - icky).
Anyone else have a drooler?

OT - Good News by

my surgery is still on for 8:30 tomorrow morning.
I'm be in the hospital for up to 14 days. I may get *my* Nook away from

Yesterday morning I noticed that Roxy seemed a little more lively and

she seemed even better. She was at the door to greet me - first time
