NEED HELP ASAP Cat abandonment in Florida by
[email protected]
I'm really upset right now. My mother has very suddenly decided to move
out of her house, and she is sticking my sister, who lives near her, and
to a lesser extent, me, with cleaning up after her. The worst news of
all is that she is planning to simply LEAVE TWO CATS BEHIND in the house,
assuming...

Sorry For the Absence by
CatEyes
I've just been so down and feeling so bad that I've let this group fall by
the wayside. It's such a shame too because I get SO much enjoyment out of
the group (but in my emotional condition, I also get a lot of tears when I
come hear and read sad things - my own problem to solve, but I can't...

Pet airline? by
[email protected]
Didn't someone post here about a new pet airline? It's just for sending
pets on long-distance trips, without an accompanying human. I don't
remember the details, but I'd like to look into it.
If someone remembers this, or if one of you out there was the one to
post that, please repost...

nurse cats will be nurse cats for a while by
Bridget[_6_]
Finally, after 12 weeks of antibiotics, countless visits to the doctor and
so on, they have a real diagnosis for me - mono. They said that since seem
to have had it for a while, it is likely I have one of the more long term
cases and I can expect to have it for a while longer. I love how vague...

Living in the garden part 2 by
Christina Websell
So - there was this little cat that seemed to be always around in my garden
but I was sure she was just amusing herself and lived elsewhere.
I mainly ignored her.
She was always there perching up on a chicken hut looking for mousies when
Trim & I fed the chickens early in the morning. After...

Quetzie: RB anniversary by
Victor Martinez
I can't believe it's been 10 years since my beloved Quetzie died. He was
The Best Cat Ever. The sweetest, most trusting cat I've ever met. It's
even more difficult since my beloved Basho is terminally ill and I know
I'll loose him soon. :(
We miss you baby-boy.

Rob update by
tanadashoes
I haven't been online since Sunday? Or something like that. Rob is home.
He was released from the hospital on Tuesday. On Wednesday he was signed
into hospice, again. His right side is very weak and he cannot walk on his
own. We now own a wheel chair. He cannot use the toilet and has to...

rats and cat update by
Steve Touchstone[_3_]
Well, it seems I'm in my normal state - 500-1000 messages behind and
trying to catch up. Blanket purrs and prayers going out for all in
need, in case I miss some as I finally get caught up (though I'll
undoubtedly fall behind again in no time).
First off, the cats are all doing fine. Frank, the...

Lucky (KFC) lives in the garden by
Christina Websell
I used to see her regularly in my garden, but I thought she belonged to
someone nearby, as all cats can roam freely where I live so it's common to
see a cat in your garden, nothing is thought of it.
At 7 a.m. I often saw her perched on top of one of my chicken huts, looking
for mice, as I went...

different strokes by
Steve Touchstone[_3_]
Ever notice how different cats react to different kinds of petting? I
started thinking about it a little while ago as I walked by the cat
tree and patted Princess on the head.
Princess is a cuddler who presses as much of her body against you as
she can. She doesn't just lean against you, she puts...

A synchronised BCT? by
Lesley
Yesterday was officially the last day of my leave for the time being-
I've just had a week of getting up late, going to bed in the wee small
hours, cooking dinner instead of grabbing a sandwich etc. And I have
been pretty good for once about doing the things I mean to do when on
leave- all bills...

A weekend at the shelter by
BfloPolska
Our local SPCA, showing their cats in a glassed-in room at PetSmart,
had a special: a cat over the age of six months, free to a screened
and approved home. A grant had been given several area shelters--not
mine, alas, for the girl who was raising funds for our 501 -3-C or
whatever the charity tax...

Philip is in hospital (long) by
BfloPolska
We had to take our Fella, Philip, into the emergency vet after I tried
to give him his usual belly rub and he moaned like a banshee. They've
had to admit him with a urinary blockage. Please send a few Fella
purrs along, and some Louie purrs as well. He's downstairs freaking.
Me, I'm relieved Philip...
