New Expedia Commercial by -L.
Margarita Salt wrote: In the new Expedia commercial, the theme is "time to enjot travel again," and one of the things they suggest you will enjoy is "leaving the cats to fend for themselves." I think that's horrible! I swore off Expedia when they screwed up my trip to DC in 2002, but if I...

I think Peewee may have cancer... by -L.
I have an appointment for them on Friday - the soonest I could get in. His chest seems to have a large, hard mass in it. I do an exam every month when I trim nails - didn't feel this last month. I am hoping I am wrong, but I don't think I am. Will keep you updated. :*( -L.

SERIOUS: PET FOOD RECALL by -L.
A number of foods are being recalled because animals are getting sick and dying; kidney failure is the most prevalent problem and they are not sure what is causing it yet. Here is the complete list of cat foods: http://www.menufoods.com/recall/product_cat.html Dog foods:

Peewee isn't doing so great. by -L.
Just thought I'd post since so many of you have known me and my cats for so many years. Peewee has CRF and possible lymphoma and isn't doing very well. I suspect it will be days, or weeks, at most. We are giving pallative care, and I keep hoping he will pass in the night so that I don't have to...

Peewee update by -L.
I swear this cat has 9 lives. He has rallied some - is eating and actually pooped for the first time in awhile. He's regained a bit of strength, but is still on the way out, I fear. Giving sub-Q fluids and meds at home, and other pallative care - will keep you guys posted. The more time he...

Friday is the day by -L.
The vet is going to come to the house and help Peewee cross over. He's weak, skin and bones, and suffering - it's time. He still has some quality of life, will purr when I hold him or scratch his head, and still likes to go out with the dog, but isn't eating much and is weak. I can't let him...

End of my cat pee-pee rope! by -L.
Most of you know me from me posting here over the last - who knows how many years. I don't give up easily and I don't advocate drastic measures. But I am at the end of my rope with Mimi. Mimi is my tortie I have had since she was 7 weeks, and she's 17.5 now. Off and on over the last 5 or 6...

****! Ear mites! by -L.
Both of my freaking cats have ear mites!! They never go outside. All I can figure is that my dog picked them up outside from the damn neighbors' cats who roam in our yard. I am completely ****ed! THAT is why I hate roaming cats. Off to the vet on Monday...grrrrr! -L.

God this is aggravating... by -L.
Every year I completely replace my litter pans - just toss out the old ones and start fresh. Last night I went out and plunked down $8.99 each for two "Giant" Van Ness litter pans. I hired a babysitter and spent two and a half hours today cleaning the pet area - replacing all the bedding,...

RIP Dear Pinky (1990-2006) - long by -L.
Pinky was a stripey orange cat that showed up on my back porch one snowy winter afternoon in December of 1990. He was a young cat - maybe 10-11 months old - strong boned and quite large - and quite hungry. He was gorgeous - true cream-orange with deeper orange stripes, a little lighter on the...

Sven-Olof Berg wrote: Hi, once in a while a cat drops by for a visit, and meanwhile I suspect she doesn't have anyone to care for her. This is not only because she seems quite independent, but just today I noticed her belly looks pretty nasty, with red patches that look like sores...

Kitty Pee barbie by -L.
For all the cat lovers out there, your kid can have a Barbie (ok, it's her cousin Mika) that has a cat that pees in its own litter box! http://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Forever-Theresa-Doll-Mika/dp/B000ELIXAO/ref=pd_bxgy_t_img_b/102-7768419-5888118?ie=UTF8 But it appears Barbie, herself, is a dog...

Goodbye Sweet Mimi (RB) by -L.
Hi Guys, I haven't posted here in along time, but wanted to let the old timers know I lost my sweet tortie, Mimi, today. She would have been 18 in July. She was doing remarkably well despite having CRF and pretty bad arthritis in her back hips. This morning when I checked on her, she couldn't...
