Cat Grass (not Catnip!) by jmcquown[_2_]
I often see my neighbor's cats munching on the grass in my side yard. Grass is supposed to help with digestion. Or make them barf, I'm not sure which ;) She bought some grass from a local nursery that were supposed to help since one of her cats throws up more than the other. Her cats ignored...

Niobe: Looking Good by Arthur Shapiro[_2_]
Niobe had her first vet appointment yesterday. Our ears survived the car trip as she let it be known that she'd rather be at home. I figured she was closer to five pounds than six. To my astonishment, she weighs 7.8 pounds, or about 7 pounds, 13 ounces! Guess I don't have a potential second...

OT - BackFrom Surgery by CatNipped[_4_]
That went well... I guess. I'm not supposed to change the dressing until Friday, but it's soaked through and through with blood - I'm just going to put another bandage over it. I'd signed papers saying students, of all types, nurses as well as interns, could not only watch but could practice...

Got Rain! And much cooler by Pat[_3_]
Our weather was 20 degrees (F.) cooler today thanks to a rain storm in the early morning hours. Everyone is so relieved! The forecast is for 100+ temps over the weekend though. But then it's supposed to cool down again late next week.

Help: Can Anyone Identify This Memorial Product? by Art Shapiro
A few years ago, one of my cats passed away and I was very pleased to receive a ceramic memorial rock from the vet. Eleven years in the wretched southern California sun and it has simply fractured: http://www.ocrebels.com/SammyMemorialRock.jpg I called the vet to see where I might purchase a...

Bonnie update by Lesley Madigan
Google after a brief moment of sanity has now gone back to sulking but I'll post this anyway 'cos I know those of you sophisticated enough to have newsreaders will get it (must look into one for my phone at least) Woke up Sunday with a tiny head resting on my toes but of course as soon as I moved...

Missing Pixel...(Long Post) by Kalynnda Berens
Remembering Pixel…and feeling guilty…or at least having the occasional intense urge to rewind time and recognize he wasn’t feeling good…in the hope of changing the outcome. Pixel came to us in October, 2000, as a 4-month old kitten. Our eldest cat, Shadow, was on walkabout, and I believed she...

OT - Distraction? by CatNipped[_4_]
When you are unbelievably bored, or in a situation you hate and can't stand to live through (being a bit exaggerated here), what do you do for distraction? Solitaire, crossword puzzles, other games? Day dreams, bad TV sitcoms? I'm really in need of ideas. -- Hugs, CatNipped See all our...

Calico: Very Sweet Gesture by Art Shapiro
We were quite surprised and touched to receive a bouquet of pretty flowers yesterday, courtesy of our veterinarian. May I share a picture? http://www.ocrebels.com/flowers.jpg Not to belabor a thread, but we were briefly mentioning vacuum tubes in the "How Old I Am" thread. I happened to find...

Happy, happy (OT) by Christina Websell
I saw an amazing new doctor today who has prescribed a cocktail of painkillers for me, I took them and now I am in almost no pain at all, just a bit. I was really suffering, in pain every moment of every day, hope it lasts. Tweed

How Cats Eat by CatNipped[_4_]
I just put on fresh sheets - a treat when you have to spend most of your time in bed. Wanting to make the freshness last, I'm trying to be more careful rather than my usual sloppy self. Eating soup, I'm leaning over to the side to eat on the table rather then the bed. Archer, as usual, is...
