Mii Meets Me by
Takayuki
If you have a Kindle, I found an English translation of a Japanese comic
strip series I really liked. It's an autobiographical account of the when
the author got her first cat, her heart cat.
You can browse part of it online...

Spicey quo by
Takayuki
A lot of people had been asking me how Spicey has been doing. Things have
been going pretty much exactly the same for the past month or so, which has
generally been a good thing.
Spicey has a healthy working relationship with Dot and Buster, which is to
say that they usually ignore each other. :)...

Happy (Noisy) New Year by
Magic Mood Jeep
I was woken last night a couple hours after going to bed by intermittent
*thud*thud*thud*thud*thud*thud*thud*thud* and wondered "what the @#$#%^4
are those danged cats up to this time.... but then then I realized the
thuding was coming from *OUTSIDE* the house.
Fireworks.
It was Midnight.

It's already 2013 by
Christina Websell
I made sure he came inside at 11pm from his "rat patrol" but it had started
raining (again) anyway.
He doesn't like fireworks and raced up to his bedroom at 12.01 when they
started going off.
Happy New Year everyone and may 2013 bring you all good health and
happiness.

Can everybody SHUT UP about guns? by
Mark Edwards
This is a divisive issue over which all sides have strong opinions
that are not likely to change.
I value my friendships here regardless of whether we agree or not,
but this is a cat group, not the Monty Python Arguments Department
that it is turning into.
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Boomy storms for Christmas by
Mark Edwards
We had loud, boomy storms after midnight. We also had three nervous
kitties who needed extra consolation. I like storms and I like cuddling
cats, so it was a Win-Win for me.
Also, we lost power on the alarm clock (ONLY the alarm clock - hmmm),
and Little Feet made it a point to wake me up only...

Boxing Day ferals by
Mark Edwards
Just after noon, and it is around 25 degrees F. Miss Emily and
Butterscotch have paws up on the windowsill, and are looking mournfully
in the window.
I open the door, and Miss Emily wastes no time coming in.
Butterscotch plays coy, and wanders a little way, then stops, then
wanders away as I...

Natural prey by
Mark Edwards
Costco has finally brought back their packaged duck halves, which I
dearly love. Last time I saw them was three years ago when I just got
out of hospital.
So I've got it in the oven. The aroma is heavenly. Little Feet starts
yelling, "Hey! HEY! Duck is my natural prey!" He even comes over and...

Cat drinking habits by

Jack Campin (re catnip rats) wrote:
"We got some for Marion's kids (or rather, their cats). One of
them demonstrated a hunting strategy I've never heard of before.
He grabbed one of the Plague Rats by its neck and shoved it
head first into his water bowl to drown it."

Sleeping at the end of the bed by
jmcquown[_2_]
During the night Persia moved away from my side down to the end of the
bed. I turned over, not knowing she was down there, and darn near
kicked her off the bed! So sorry my pretty little girl!

Never saw so many jackdaws before by
Christina Websell
At least 60-70 (if not more) overhead heading for a roost somewhere at 3.45
when I was shutting my chickens up.
They were making their chak noises as they flew. That's how I knew what
they were.
Amazing. I do get a few jackdaws here, maybe 5 but I've never seen so many.
Is this common?

Update on missing ferals by
Mark Edwards
Miss Emily and Butterscotch did not go away. Paleface has started
showing back up, as has Sylvester and OtherCat. In fact, Othercat has
started allowing me to pet him more often.
I briefly saw Orville. He came outside from a neighbor's house. When he
saw me, he hurried over, gave me a loud...

Little Feet the protector by
Mark Edwards
I was in the kitchen, Little Feet underfoot.
As I poured myself a bowl of Cheetos super puffs, one jumped out of the
bowl and dropped onto the base of Little Feet's tail.
He immediately spun around, discovered what had attacked him, and my
mostly polite and sedate 13-year old boy kitty killed...
