Cats & Hurricanes by
Cat Protector
Does anyone know if the animal shelters in New Orleans have evacuated with
all the cats? I read the Louisiana SPCA had a preparedness plan for Hurrican

I hope many of the people who have cats in New Orleans or are in the path of
the hurricane evacuated...

Hello, I'm new to this whole forum thing so bare with me....
About 2 days ago I noticed that my 1 year old cat, Roxanne, is not eating very well at all. She's only consuming about 1/2 a cup of food at most a day. I've tried mixing wet food with her normal cat food (Solid Gold), and just straight...

A real cat update (no socks, btw) by
Rhonda
If anyone remembers -- a couple of weeks ago I went to Portland to help
a person with their new cat. This is a cat we trapped at 10 weeks old,
tamed for a few weeks, then he went off to his new home. That was three
years ago.
The owner moved away recently, left him with this new person, and...

I don't know, but I looked at the web site, and I suspect this person
is sincere. Whether her information is accurate or not is a different
question.

someone who's an empress on this group. (I therefore request that
anyone who cares to responds does so only to my Yahoo email address,

Hope they're better at rescuing the poor animals than they are at
rescuing the poor people...but that's the crappy Bush government so no
wonder they're incompetent, murdering morons. Maybe the surviving
animals will fare better.

Taking Harriet home for the weekend - good idea or not? by
Elizabeth Blake
Harriet is a bookstore cat who spent time in the hospital twice in
August, for constipation. She's currently eating only canned Eukanuba
low residue food, and gets 1ml of Lactulose daily. Since Hariet is one
of two cats in the store, I still don't know how much she's going to
the bathroom.
