New kitten after bereavement? by
wundaweb
My friend has recently lost one of her cats in a road accident. The cat
was one of a brother/sister pair and only twelve months old. Should she
get a new kitten sooner or later in order to provide a companion for
her other cat who is missing his sister?

Question About Cat Behavior... by
Writerosity
I know that cats hunch their backs, bristle their fur and spit when
they are threatened by other animals, but my kitten likes to hunch his
back when I'm petting him. Why does he do this, if this is behavior
normally associated with fear? TIA

I'd Appreciate Some Advice by
wmdiscenza
I have had a male cat, ELLIOTT, for nearly 2 years; he will be 3 years old this fall. I work days and Elliott is home alone all day, M-F; he is an indoor cat with all his claws intact. He is a well adjusted cat and is affectionate; he does not scratch furniture, carpet and so forth. Lately he seems...

My cat is 11 years old and very muched love. Recently, over the last month she has lost a lot of weight and spends much of her tim sleeping. A trip to or Vet and an X-ray proved that she had a large growth that could not be operated on.
We don't think she is in pain, but are not sure.

I & my wife love our garden & try to keep it in good condition .... growing
flowers/vegetables .... a nice lawn .... & enjoying BBQ's, throughout

I haven't been able to find an exercise wheel like the one shown in

Nail broken off by
White Monkey
Hi all,
I'm off to the vet in a few hours, we got the first free slot, but I thought
I'd see if anyone here has any advice on what we might expect there so we
can prepare if necessary, like by setting up a secluded box-bed for our cat
or anything.
A few days ago I noticed that our cat's middle...

About Whiskers (my cat) by
Whiskicat
Whiskers is a sort of killer cat. I love him. He is also nice to snuggle with when warm and purring! He is a frisky whiski when he runs around like he has ants in his pants. He meows when:
He wants food
He wants to go out
He wants to come in
He wants to play
or he wants attention, which is usally...

house caught on fire and burned. PAYBACK BY MOUSE ??

Projectile Vomiting In Cats by
Welsh Dog
I've had a little female cat since she was a kitten. She was feral and
abandoned under a bush by her mother so we took her in, bathed her to
kill off the fleas and had her spayed... that was 4 years ago.
She's not exactly 'friendly' most of the time, preferring to come and
go as she pleases tho...

Warfarin and Indoor/Outdoor Cat by

I have an indoor/outdoor cat who comes in most nights (99% of the time

people in the house have allergies, so generally she is not allowed to
wander.
