Liver shunt cat- lifespan? by
KellyH
I have someone who might be interested in adopting my liver shunt kitty,
Ana. However, she just lost a cat to cancer and isn't sure she wants to go
through something like that again. Ana was diagnosed 6 months ago by
checking her bile acid levels after a bout of seizures. Since then, she...

Kitty Sniffles by
Mary
My asthmatic and allergic little tabby was sneezing a lot and showing signs
that her nose was sore (e.g. snarling and stiffening if we went anywhere
near it while petting her.)
Just an FYI: the vet told me to give her Chlortrimeton (that is the brand
name, there are generics available) at the rate...

Question about Frontline by
Calvin Rice
I've been using Advantage to get rid of my cats' fleas
for years, but I've never used anything for ticks. When
I see or feel a tick I just pull it off, and that has done
the job so far. My cats are indoor/outdoor by the way.
But one of my cats has a tick close next to his eyelid
near the outside...

Caryl
I have heard much (all good) about Wellness food, but can find no
trace of it in the UK. Can anyone recommend a good wet cat food
available here?

Oowweee, My Toes! by
Nick
Why, oh why, doesn't the kitty-cat realise that my toes under the blanket
are the same ones that are attached to my body?
Last night, I must have moved in my sleep and got a wide-awake (= bored) cat
attacking the greeblies in the bed. I can remember the teeth sinking into
the flesh... Ouch!
The...

Picayune, MS?
I have a friend to live near there who took in her two granddaughters, their
puppy and their two *unneutered* cats - one male, one female. She didn't
have the money to get them fixed right away and the...

Squamous cell carcinoma by
Tabitha Waterworth via CatKB.com
I'm new to this board and need a "support system" to help me deal with
issues with my kitty. Elvis is 13 years old. I found him when he was
about 1 yr old. In January, I noticed he had swelling on the right side of
his face. Took him to vet...to make a short story, I took him to an
Oncologist in...

Cat not eating well... by
David via CatKB.com
My cat is male, 3 years old...he doesn't eat much. Are there any foods that
cats just love to eat?
I tried Wellness canned, but he recoils from it. Whiskas is OK, he licks
the sauce. Fancy Feast doesn't get much of a reaction.
My theory is that I am not feeding him what his former owner did, but...

I have sleep apnea so I have a breathing machine with a humidifier. A couple

little blue seal ring. He took off with it and had a dandy time playing
soccer.
Now, every night as I refil the humidifer he is waiting. Tonight I...

Why is Amber doing this? by
---MIKE---
During the last week, Amber has started pulling out tufts of hair -
mostly from her belly. Amber is 10 1/2 years old, spayed, a little
pudgey but not fat. She is a typical domestic short hair, orange with
white paws, vest and belly. Nothing has changed except a slight
moderation in the weather. ...
