[OT] Letter of Resignation by
Catnipped
OK, I've never done this before!!! Working in the Oil and Gas industry as
I've done most of my life, I've always changed job because of a lay-off or
reorganization. So, please let me know what you think about this letter of
resignation (besides the fact that it's full of lies! ;):

[OT] LOL! Hey guys, want a peek at my undies? by
CatNipped
Hey guys want a peek at my undies??? ;
A friend recently had a fire in her house and was going through some old
pictures when she found this one and sent it to me this morning. As the
caption says, I really was an obnoxious show-off from the age of 5!!! 50
years later and I still haven't...

[OT] lubrication by
Mark Edwards
Trying to install Visual Studio Professional upgrade to Windows 7
Ultimate. Adding a bit of Black Bush to lubricate the process.
So far, I have a failed installation that WILL NOT UNINSTALL.
I hates me some Microsoft.

[OT] Lunar Eclipse by
Jeanne Hedge
A few days ago someone mentioned their cats had been acting weird, and
wondered if it was the moon. I haven't seen this mentioned before
(just found out about it myself), but there's a total lunar eclipse on
October 27 for western Europe and most of North America!
The "viewers guide" is...

[OT] Makeup by
[email protected]
I'm one of those women who just never "got" makeup. Once a good long
while, I might put on a bit of lipstick, a little rouge and some eye
shadow. But I basically preferred to go nekkid most of the time, and
so have no clue about makeup and its wonders.
Now that I'm 50, I'm thinking "Hmmm, maybe...

[ot] Man Votes for Self, Gets Zero Votes by
Jeanne Hedge
In a bit of election weirdness almost certain to bring out the
conspiracy theorist in ourselves, here's the case of Randy Wooten, a
candidate in a 3-way race for mayor of Waldenburg, Arkansas
(population 80).
According to CNN.com, Mr. Wooten decided that he'd be sure to vote for
himself, even if...

You may not know him, but he was an "institution" here in Houston. His
crusade against a rural brothal in Texas inspired the movie "Best Little

[OT] Mary of Exeter, Pigeon Extraordinaire by
CatNipped
I'm watching a really interesting Animal Planet special on WWII messenger
pigeons.
When I watched "Valiant" (an animated movie about WWI messenger pigeons)
with my grandchildren, I thought it was a made-up story (not about the
messenger pigeons, but about the falcons who were their enemy). Not...

[OT] Maxine for President by

Do you know Maxine, the skinny old cartoon lady who is always, um,
"crotchety"? Here are some of her election platforms.
1. Maxine on "Driver Safety" - "I can't use the cell phone in the car. I
have to keep my hands free for making gestures.".......
2. Maxine on "Life" - "Life is like an oven....

[OT] Maybe things are looking up by

They're worse on the DH front, but at least it looks like I've
recovered one of my "lost" friendships.
He came over last night and we talked for four or five hours, even
stuff from years ago (we've known each other half my life). Worked
through a lot, got very honest about a lot, and it looks...

[ot] Mindless Summer Movie Fun by
Jeanne Hedge
If you haven't seen it already, I recommend "Mr. & Mrs. Smith".
I found it to be an entertaining summer popcorn movie - it's amusing,
has quite a bit of action for action fans, there's no deep thought
required, Vince Vaughn is funny and there are worse ways to spend 2
hours than looking at Brad...

[OT] Moral Dilemma by
Yowie
Joel & I befriended an overseas (to us) couple via an internet game. In a
gesture of friendship and cultural exchange, we sent them a box of uniquely
Austraian goodies, mostly snack food and candy. They sent a box of goodies
in return, but got the address muddled up and it was returned to them...
