Call it what it is: killed NOT euthanized by
Joe Pitt
I attended a presentation about stopping the killing of cats (and dogs) in
animal control facilities. He emphasised that you euthanize an animal that
is SICK. What is happening in shelters all over is they are KILLING
perfectly fine animals because they are unwanted, often due to the failure
to...

Calling experts: store food in original cans or tupperware? by
AlexZ
With only one cat, who is a picky eater too, I often find myself
storing 1/2 a can of cat food in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, has
even strethced to 3 days. I use the original can, closed with tight
fitting lids I got from petsmart/petco.
Discussion in another thread brought up the possibility...

Calling the Vet first thing tomorrow. by
Psipsini
I'm calling the vet as soon as it opens tomorrow morning, but in the
mean time while I'm worried I'd love to hear your thoughts.
My 2 year old indoor female cat as a lump under her chin.
I noticed it late wednesday night, it was about the size of a pea but
not very hard and I felt a kind of a...

Calming drugs by
Cheryl
I don't want to think this but I really think it is time for drugs for
Shamrock. He is just the most obnoxious cat and I don't know what to do.
Shadow spends all the time that I'm home terrified of him, so he sticks
close to me. (they are separated when I'm at work) If he doesn't, he gets
backed...

calming feline aromatherapy? by
JLove98905
I saw this Feliway aromatherapy product in the Drs. Foster and Smith catalog
(see really long link below this post).... it's supposed to calm your cat while
you're away. Think this might actually work? I tend to be away all weekend, and
my cat gets very stressed out while I'm away. She pesters my...

Calming for Clipping by
raenee
I don't really need help with this for my cat, but for a friends cat.
She lets her cat's claws grow out really long and avoids clipping them
because "it's too much hassle". I've seen her try to clip her cat's
claws. She takes a towel and wraps the cut up like a soft taco with the
paws sticking out....

Caloric needs of cats? by
Kiran
Sometime ago, I had a posted a question about how much to feed a cat.
The response I rememebr (from Phil and others) was 20 Kcal per lb of
body weight per day, for a neutered adult. So, for a 5 lb cat it would
be 100 Kcal per day.
However, it struck me that the calculator...

Camera flash by
frigamia
Hi there...
I was just getting ready to take pictures of the kittens again for you
guys... and I wondered if now that their little eyes are open or semi open,
if the flash of my camera can damage them? Their eyes I mean?
Thanks,
Mia

Can I Handle A Third Cat - More on Puff by
dgk
I went to visit Puff yesterday outside the house where he was living.
He came right up to me to be petted. The lady next door has been
feeding Puff and told me that she took him in to her vestibule that
morning (no further because he likely has fleas) to clean up some
knots. Her cat Pewter is...

Can a cat be gay? by
simon sez
My two cats, Patrick and Dale, have been together for the last 6 years.
Both were fixed and never showed any amorous interest in each other.
About 6 months ago we got Donald, a stray who found us. Donald has been
humping poor little Patrick at nearly every opportunity and I'm
starting to think...

Can a cat be taught the meaning of 'no'? by
Calvin Rice
I don't mean yelling at the cat, but just saying 'no', and the cat obeying.
Is it possible to teach a cat to stop doing what it is just starting to do
if you merely say 'no'?

Can a cat catch a cold? by
Roger Kneebend
My neighbor, lamentably without Internet access, so I'm asking for her,
thinks her cat has a cold! For a couple days her cat has been sneezing.
She *did* take him to be groomed on Wednesday and didn't wrap the
carrier in a blanket.
If a cat *can* catch a cold, what home remedies are there?
Thanks!

Can a cat catch FIV from the vaccine? by
John Ross Mc Master
I'm thinking of having Cinder vaccinated for FIV even though she's
mostly an indoor cat, just in case she gets out and into a fight. But
I'd like to know if there is any way that the vaccine can cause the
disease. Some human vaccines in the past have caused some diseases.

Can a cat drink breastmilk ??? by
Ed Zagmoon
My girlfriend's tits are so full of milk, it would be a waste not
to drink it. I do it, but she still has more than I can drink.
So, can the cats drink breastmilk? Or will that turn them
into gremlins?

Can a cat get the flu? by
Tracy
My newer cat is a former feral. She's a sweetie, but after 5 months
here, there's still no picking her up. She's not into being restrained
(and I have the gouges to prove it). Anyhow, in the last few days,
both cats have had tummy issues - the original cat was sad and
lethargic for a day, barfed in...
