Can a pregnant cat be in heat? by
Amy V via CatKB.com
Thanks again for all your help. I posted a question about a rescued mother
cat last week and the feedback was wonderful!
This cat is obviously in heat. Can she also be pregnant, or does a heat cycle
stop once she has conceived? She weighs 5lbs, we weigh her every 2 days, and
she hasn't made any...

Can a vet give a second opinion on my cat's liver issues? by
Joshua McGee
Hi,
My cat has lost half her body weight. We thought she wasn't
tolerating her food any longer, and tried making changes at home for
too long before we went to the vet. She has undergone personality
changes, is lethargic and vomiting, and is dehydrated. I have a pdf
fax of her blood results,...

Can aloe vera be used on cats? by
chas
Just wondered.
I have occassional small patchy exzema and use pure aloe vera gel from my
local health food store to calm it down. I notice a lot of posts here
regarding cats with skin conditions. I just wondered if it would be safe to
use on a cat?
I know aloe vera also has other uses in humans -...

Can an Old Healthy Cat Travel Successfully Internationally? by
tioga 0630
I may have to put my housecat on an airplane. This cat was relocated
twice successfully in her youth, but only locally, within a few miles.
She is now at least ten years old and perhaps older (she was either
young or a very skinny stray when we found her).
I'd almost rather die than face this...

Can anyone explain this behavior? by
Cheryl *
I am the owner of three cats - one is a domestic longhair 8 yrs old, and
the other two are domestic shorthairs 2 yrs old (siblings). I also own
two dogs, ages 8yrs, and 8 months. All are female, and all are spayed.
Each cat - of course - has a unique personality. One of the 2 year olds
has me...

Can anyone explain this reaction? by
blkcatgal
My 8 month old kitten has really wanted to go outside. I will not let him
go outside without supervision. So I decided to get him a harness and a
leash. I put the harness on him inside the house to let him get use to it.
At first he didn't like it, but after a while (hour or two) he seemed...

Can anyone help by
The Jeffos
One of our four furries is having problems with cat fleas. He reacts badly
to such things as Frontline and programme and sprays. We comb him daily with
an "electric" comb and a "flea"comb and he also wears a 12 month type flea
collar but the damned little fleas still make a bee line for him. Our...

Can anyone help advise me about my cat, Ian? by
The High Council
Ok, Ian has had his ultrasound today and the good news is that there
is no 'obvious' sign of a tumor. Although the vet STILL doesn't rule
it out???
He has had a sample of the fluid taken from his distended abdomen and
it is a 'yellow fluid' that is being analysed. It will take a couple
of days to...

Can anyone help with info? I think my cat has had a stroke by
Kelly M via CatKB.com
Waking up yesterday morning, finding my cat not moving sent all of us into
a panic. Blackie is 25 years old, and cannot hear any more, basically all
she does is pretty much eat and sleep. When we pulled her out of her bed
she had urinated in her bed, and her little body was just limp. I took her
to...

Can anyone identify this insect? by
Zorin the Lynx
Hello folks,
Can anyone identify this insect?
The reason I ask here, is I saw it crawling across my desk, where my cat
was just laying minutes before, and I was just wondering if it was
something that could have been feasting on my poor fuzzy. It's about the
size of a grain of rice and walks...

Can cats coexist with pennyroyal plantings? by
Charles Packer
Because my wife is acutely sensitive to mosquito bites, I've
agreed to commit significant space in our yard to plants said to
be disagreeable to mosquitoes. I've focused on pennyroyal
(mentha pulegium). However, we have a cat, so I want to run this
idea by the cat folks as well as the gardeners....

Can cats eat Xmas ham? by
Doug2
We have a lot of leftover Xmas ham, it's got a glaze on it, but no other
spices AFAIK. Is it OK, to cut the ham in small bits and feed it to two
cats who are ~10 years old?
Thank you in advance.

Can cats get pimples? by

This recently showed up on my cat's chin, and I'm just wondering if I
should be concerned and schedule a vet trip, or if it's the equivalent
of a pimple and will go away soon:

Can cats get stomach viruses? What about allergies? by
Julia Bryce
I am wondering if cats can get stomach viruses. I ask because we adopted a
new cat and he had diarrhea for a bit after he first came home (vet checked
him out, tested for parasites, etc., and he was ok otherwise). She surmised
it could be stress from the new environment. Then our kitten got it...
