Supervet by Christina Websell
Is a Tv programme about a vet that goes more than usual to save his patients. When I watch it I always cry because of how much he cares and how great his skills are http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-supervet

Do they miss us? by jmcquown[_2_]
I think they do miss us when we leave the house. Even if only for a short while. This is an interesting experiment. IMHO, of course. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUkdhzXjv1U I'm sure Persia missed me when I first moved here and had to board her for *months*. (Mom made me feel guilty. Who...

Tigger's sad start by Christina Websell
Tigger is my brother's cat, he & Boyfie go to the vet's together every year to get their jabs. He's a big, elegant tabby cat, quite aloof and with a huge opinion of himself! I knew he was adopted from the RSPCA as a small kitten but I didn't know until Claire told me the other day that he and...

Waffles by Joy
I thought Waffles’ behavior was due to the heat until yesterday. However, yesterday morning I couldn’t find him - until I went in to get my shower. That’s where he was. I had to move him out. As soon as I finished my shower, he went back in that bathroom and laid up against the side of the...

Good new by Christina Websell
Today I got my neck collar off. I've had it on since Feb 23 24/7. I was longing to get it off so I could sleep properly. The good news is that my neck fractures have healed My T4 fracture in the upper spine is doing |Ok but has a way to go yet. The bad news is that since I had my collar off my...

Boyfie proves he is completely recovered by Christina Websell
The weather has been warm for the last 3 days so he's been out more often and for longer instead of lounging on his duvet. So he went hunting today and presented me with a baby magpie (deceased) this afternoon, still warm. Now normally I don't like it if he catches birds but I make an exception...

Persia Spots a Deer by jmcquown[_2_]
There seem to be a lot of deer around where I live lately. Or at least they're showing themselves more. Well before dusk I saw about six of them just mosying across the fairway from behind my neighbors house. They meandered around, munching on stuff. I even heard dogs barking but they didn't...

Nipsy's hair loss explained by dgk
Nothing bad at all. I forgot that he tends to get dirty ears and there was gunk that was bothering him so he was scratching behind the ear trying to get at it. My memory lapse cost me a $130 vet visit. If I had cleaned his ears he would have stopped scratching.

Reckless feat with Spicey by Takayuki
I'm still a bit wary of Spicey, and half expect her to chomp my hand when all I'm doing is petting her. But here's Spicey in the walking jacket: http://home.comcast.net/~takayuki9z/spicey%20outside.jpg She actually turns out to be an excellent walker. She doesn't slink or sulk. She tends to...

Waffles by Joy
Waffles is behaving unusually recently. I don't know whether to worry or not. He used to come out into the kitchen every time I was fixing a meal, and at bedtime, because I'd give him treats. He hasn't done that for the last few days. He used to pester me for the little bit of canned food I...

I was a bit grumpy with you as I hadn't understood your humour - it's a bit difficult to get over in the written word. I'm sorry. My excuse is the pain which I still experience when sitting at the computer which is why I don't post much atm. Anyway, I hope you will excuse me for it in view of...

Boyfriend's injury solved by Christina Websell
Right down my garden, where I rarely go (but did recently, trying to get my walking on track) I found a gap in the fence and a broken pane of glass with a sharp point on it propped up against it. It was at exactly the height to cause his injury if he squeezed through. I've removed it so now...

Snoring cat by Robert Catt
As I write this in my home office, our little grey Emily is sleeping in her cat bed on the table behind me. She's snoring loudly, one of my favourite kitty sounds. The other one is purring, which she and our other cats do frequently. They're two very soothing and delightful sounds!

Places Persia Won't Nap Anymore by jmcquown[_2_]
Cats sure are funny creatures. When I lived in Tennessee, Persia would often nap on my bed. Since I brought her to South Carolina in 2008, she won't nap on my bed. Yet she sleeps with me, at least part of the night. After my mom passed away she'd nap on the bed in the other bedroom. Now she...
