Hi by [email protected]
Just popping in Although really nothing to report both owners are fine. I got them a new toy yesterday, a catnip stuffed fish. They both went mad I don't think Bonnie played that much when she was a kitten! Alas the fish is now very soggy and has vanished so I am waiting to find it in my bed ...

Purrs for Buffy by jmcquown[_2_]
Her troubles aren't over. The vet had told me after the teeth extractions on 4/16 Buffy had quite a bit of bone loss and the abscess (infection) under one of the molars was nasty. Strong antibiotics, liquid pain meds, she was doing much better a week later. Then last week I noticed litterbox...

Another Buffy Pic (5/6/2021) by jmcquown[_2_]
Tonight she ate some more Royal Canin gooshy food and drank plenty of water, then she got up on the bed and got comfortable. I petted her and gave her a kiss on the top of her head. Next time I looked she'd curled into a ball, snoozing: https://i.postimg.cc/pTcv9dmS/curledup.jpg It's a sweet...

Changed Buffy's Food by jmcquown[_2_]
Back in January the vet put Buffy on prescription food due to a bladder stone. I was quite surprised to find she absolutely loved it and it resolved that issue. But since she hasn't been eating due to the tumor in her jaw I said to heck with the prescription food and dished up some Sheba wet...

Do cats eat more in winter? by J J Levin
Our two cats, Agatha and Edgar, seem to have bigger appetites now that the weather is colder. Either I am giving them better food (I have not changed their menu much) or they need more food because it's winter. They share a small can of moist food morning and evening, and have kibble available...

Ping Tweed - OT by CatNipped
Tweed, how are you doing on *your* road to recovery from surgery? Has the blood from the hemorrhage cleared up yet? How is your vision, is it improving still? We're still sending purrs, cyber hugs, happy thoughts, and meatloaf meditations that you'll continue to improve swiftly and...

Palliative Care by jmcquown[_2_]
Buffy is still here. Despite the weepy eye the vet said she looks much better! Just as I thought, Buffy has gained back a little of the weight she'd lost. The cortisone shot last week greatly reduced the inflammation in her jaw. She said she honestly doesn't think it's "time" yet....

The Worst Birthday Ever (Long) by Ginger-lyn Summer
All I wanted to do on Tuesday was sit down quietly, drink some wine, and watch some videos (exciting birthday, huh? DH had to work, it's a Tuesday, bleah). I get about 3/4 of the way through "Big Fish" when all hell breaks loose. You see, we had these stupid neighbors across the street awhile...

Cat women turn me off by [email protected]
I just saw a little news blip about how women are attracted to "cat guys" (guys who like/love cats and have them as pets). I thought I'd drop in and comment. First of all, I'm a guy who loves babies (most of 'em anyway; I ain't too crazy about bratty, ugly ones), puppies... and cute things in...

OT - Suicide a Sin? by CatEyes
Sorry for the dark topic, but I know a lot of you here suffer from depression, so you may have thought about this and come to some conclusions. It's something that's been on my mind a lot lately. I was brought up Catholic (lapsed when I got old enough to grow an "irony meter"). Catholics are...

An Amusing Thing in a rather sad situation by jmcquown[_2_]
When I picked up Buffy from the veterinary clinic today the vet tech had already brought Buffy out. We were sitting on a nice glider bench, Buffy in her Sherpa bag on a nice comfy fleece liner under a shade canopy waiting for them to bring me the medication. Instead of the vet tech, the doctor...
