Amber again by ---MIKE---
Most nights Amber comes on my bed about 5 AM and settles by my feet and purring. Sometimes she will come earlier BUT always gets by my feet. Last night she came shortly after I put the light out. She laid by my pillow and kept "poking" me in the face. She was trying to tell me something - but...

I bought two of these... by ---MIKE---
Get some Uglue ($10 at Walmart). Apply a piece to the suction cup and it won't let go. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Where did he hide it? by ---MIKE---
I have two small felt mice that Tiger likes to bat around. Suddenly yesterday, one was missing. I searched everywhere (almost) - on my hands and knees with a flashlight. I looked under both sofas and everywhere else where he could have batted it but no luck. Suddenly today, it was sitting on...

Aggie is not doing well by ---MIKE---
Aggie is the shop cat at the Agway store in Littleton, NH. I stop in every week to visit her and brush her with the love glove. She is about 19 years old. Lately she has started to fade badly and the store clerks think she is "on the way out". She could sure use some purrs. ---MIKE--- In the...

Amber lost another fang by ---MIKE---
Amber lost a fang about ten years ago. Today she lost the other one. I will call the vet tomorrow but she is too old for a dental (17 1/2). She eats mostly wet food and when she gets dry treats, she probably swallows them whole anyway. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44...

Update on Amber by ---MIKE---
She is doing just fine without the fangs. Her breath, which was a little "dicey" before, is now better - almost sweet. She is eating well and there is no swelling. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Pooping Outside the Box? by ---MIKE---
This has been a problem with Tiger from day one. I think it's just a "cling-on" problem since he is long haired. I have three litter boxes that are kept scooped. Tiger is not arthritic. Most of his poops are in the box but he frequently drops a small piece outside the box. I just live with...

Mat removal by ---MIKE---
Tiger had developed a big mat on his chest. While I was giving him his morning brushing with the Zoom Groom, I grabbed the electric clippers and removed the mat. He didn't fight me at all. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Tiger ave me a "bath" again by ---MIKE---
This morning, before I got up, Tiger jumped on the bed next to my pillow. I put my head next to him and he proceeded to lick my head for several minutes. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580')

Ambers getting fussy by ---MIKE---
At first I thought she was sick. She wouldn't eat her Wellness chicken. I offered some dry Innova which she did eat. I don't know if there was something wrong with the Wellness but Tiger is eating it (but he will eat anything). I will have to get some Friskies or Whiskas canned food to try and...

Amber wouldn't eat Sunday by ---MIKE---
For some reason, Amber refused to eat on Sunday. She spent the whole day on her heated window perch.I tried to give her an appetite pill but she spit it out three times. This morning she ate a normal breakfast. She really had me concerned. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains...

OT Pet TV peeves by ---MIKE---
I watch too much TV - partly because Tiger likes to sleep on my lap. Here are some of my pet peeves: Ads that end with CALL NOW. Products that are "clinically proven" to work. Newscasters that say "stay with us". Brian Williams (NBC anchor) saying "thanks AS ALWAYS".

Strange dream by ---MIKE---

He was owned by a doctor "Jim" who was assigned to a vast medical center (Monday I have to go to Dartmouth-Hitchcock for minor eye...

Tiger is 10 today by ---MIKE---
Not 11 as I mistakenly said yesterday. He was born May 11, 1999. Not knowing his exact birth date I "assigned" May 11 since that was my mother's birthday and I knew he was "about" four months old when I got him in September. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New...

Tiger's strange habit by ---MIKE---
When Tiger eats, he eats about half of his dish and then "runs" (more of a fast walk) to the stairs and heads down as if he had a hurry call to the litter box. When I check, none of the boxes had been used. He comes back up for more of his plate. Sometimes he repeats his rush downstairs but also...

Food supplements by ---MIKE---
I add Cosequin to the canned food twice daily. After several months, Amber seems to be walking better. I also give Tiger six pieces of Friskies Dental Diet at bedtime (Amber doesn't usually want any). At the last vet visit they said his teeth looked good. These things seem to work! ...

OT Colonoscopy tomorrow (Friday) by ---MIKE---

It wasn't Tiger by ---MIKE---
Yesterday, a little after 7 PM, I felt a mild shaking of the sofa. At first I thought Tiger was sitting behind me scratching his head. But no, he was asleep on the floor. It was an earthquake - centered about 100 miles east of here. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44...
